Currently my graphics card is a gtx 1060 and i use a 1440p monitor. I am planning to buy a 3070 when they release but ive noticed it only has 8gb of vram. I plan on keeping this card for around for the next 2 gpu generations (i will upgrade when rtx 5000 releases), so about 4 years more or less. Will 8gb last me 4 years playing at 1440p resolution? Im a bit nervous because when i first built my pc i dodged a bullet when i went to the shop and was planning to get a 1060 3gb when they had none left, so i settled for the 6gb. Looking back on that the 3gb model is basically unusable, should i wait for the 3070 with "16gb of vram" according to that one leak? Because if thats true that sounds expensive and it sounds like its quite far away. My 1060 is really starting to get slow and i want an upgrade sooner rather than later. Any suggestions?
