Recently bought a used i9-9900k to replace my i5. When I switched them my computer was not posting and VGA debug light was on. Took out my GPU and was able to post and get into bios. Turned it off and put GPU back in. I am able to get into bios but my computer does not boot. It gets stuck in "Preparing Automatic Repair" as it freezes up. Note that when I switch back to my i5 it turns on normally.

Any thoughts on what could cause the problem or what I could try? As I want to believe the CPU should be good since I doubt the seller would take PayPal and try to sell a faulty CPU knowing that I could report it and get my money back.
