  1. Was a simple thermal paste and thermal pad fix. Weird thing is I have done this before. My conclusion is bad thermal paste. Got me some grizzly and boy is she cool now. Weird. Solved my own issue. Lol
  2. I would stick to the Nvidia card purely for the features and encoders. As well as a laundry list of other great features. As before mentioned by other users, you are giving up a lot for a small increase in performance. Not worth it. Glhf
  3. Hi there, I am in need of some advice. My RTX 2080 super (Rog Strix by Asus :} ) likes climbing to the 83 °C range and I don't like it. I will say my ambient temperature can sometimes raise a bit (approx 18 - 25 °C year round). But, I have 3 Corsair intake fans, one exhaust fan and two fans pushing air out through radiator at the top of my case. Airflow in the case isn't the problem, not from what I have seen and tested. I believe it could be the thermal paste and pads needing replacing (owned the card since 2020). Any ideas what could be causing this other than that mentioned. I have a full sized case as well as AIO for cpu. Everything tells me it is the card itself. I can only imagine what the dram temps are. But since I am slightly out of warranty I wondered if maybe I can check pads and paste. Any advice LTT forums? Thanks
  4. Thanks for the Reply, I do have a GSync capable monitor and it is active at all times. I run at 144hz in all my game set to full screen. The tearing itself only happens now and then but i do get this weird glow around the edges of the characters as well as some distant blurring on certain objects in the game. I will find some examples and post them here tonight as I play. Thanks again!
  5. I have a question... I really enjoy gaming and play almost everyday, I have a Dell 1080p 144Hz Monitor Nvidia RTX 2080 Super 32GB DDr4 Memory @ 3200mhz and a Core I5 9600KF processor. I just wanted to know, Why does my monitor glow so much when turning on graphics to ultra and in 4k scaling? My frames are fine in even high end games like Insurgency Sandstorm and the like of Battlefield 5 even with RTX ON ( Scuse the pun) I have this awkward tearing even on 144Hz so my question really is, In the case of 4k... Is it better to keep it at 60hz? Or does it even matter? Any response would be appreciated! Thanks! CB456
