Hey everyone,
i am not a very experienced builder so i hope you can help me with some questions about good parts to use or my new gaming PC.
Budget (including currency):
~4000€,
Country:
Germany
Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for:
mostly gaming, looking for Cyberpunk in 4K
Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc):
really want to build a beast here for 4k gaming >60Hz
I want to get rid of my old PC (i7-5820k, GTX1070). i hasitated do upgrade much in the last years as my PC was fine for 1080p gaming and 4k high refreshrate was (in my opinion) not effordable.
Now I saved some money and want to upgrade to 4K.
Current plan:
CPU: Intel I9-10900k
Cooling: Asus ROG Strix LC 360 (other recommendations highly welcome)
PSU: Corsair HX1200 1200 Watt 80+ Platinum
Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Puls 1TB M.2 (paired with "my old" Samsung SSD for additional 1TB of storage from my current PC)
GPU: NVIDIA RTX3080 but honestly --> I really would like to go for the 3090 (and most probably will pay the extra )
Monitor: Predator XB273K (4k, 144 Hz, 27")
Now the part where i really need support (i didnt pay attention in the last builds and I think it was a mistake :
Motherboard: Asus ROG Maximus XII --> not sure about this one (PCI 3.0 is my concern here)
RAM: no idea --> depends on the motherboard im am choosing i guess. Main question is what frequency i should and can run (no experience on that topic).
Case: holy crap. if you are searching Google for a "good PC case" you will find everything and nothing --> some tips would be highly appreciated
Cooling: pretty sure i need some additional cooling fans for the case. If you have some ideas for good (quiet) fans --> i would really appreciate some ideas here
Hope i forgot nothing.
Best regards from rainy Germany
