  1. My undervolts are the only thing keeping my cpu from exploding. If I remove them, temps go upto 99 in a matter of minutes on boot. My problems aren't hardware related as my system was working fine before i reset my laptop to stock settings and removed my files. I tried to find programs that might be hogging up my cpu, but i couldn't find any app with a significant load on my cpu. I had recently gotten my laptop checked by a technician who reapplied my thermal paste, cleaned the fans, vents etc. My system was working fine then. I reset my laptop on 16th September and that's when my problems appeared. Thank you for responding though. Edit: My fans are blowing hot air and my chassis is getting hot so there's no doubt that my cpu temps are right.
  2. I just reset my Dell 7567 as I had an issue with onedrive ( not related to my current problem). After a full reset of my personal files, windows 10 was reinstalled from a local copy on my computer. That's when i started having this problem. I noticed my cpu was running below its base clock. I quickly identified the problem and found out my turbo boost had been switched off. After switching it on, my laptop would go upto 80-90 degrees c while idle and then would surface back to 60c. I'm not able to play any games as my temps would go upto 100c, core clock would start throttling causing massive fps drops. My laptop has an i7 7700hq which I undervolted to -100mv. I made sure my clock speed wouldn't downclock and also reinstalled all my drivers, checked for malware using malwarebytes and mcafee. I also reset my machine again but to no avail. This has never happened to me before my reset. I was running the same settings before I reset my laptop and it was perfectly fine. I was able to play games like warzone over 70 fps with some drops to 45. However, after the reset, i can't even load my game without having my cpu throttling at 99 c. I also have had new thermal paste applied, cleaned my fans, and my aircon is usually on at around 16c all the time. I have c states enabled along with speedstep however, they don't seem to do much enabled or disabled. I tried reinstalling my bios too. I'm on 1.11.0 which is currently the latest one for my device. I've also reinstalled my chipset drivers, nvidia drivers (gpu is perfectly fine) and windows update. I have multiple applications which open at boot, which also cause my laptop to heat upto 97 c. This didn't happen before even with more apps. I'm in desperate need of help. Downclocking my cpu isn't an option as i need the full performance of my cpu even to run a small game. Please help me out.
