  1. Thanks An0maly_76. I resent the CMOS with no joy. Is it possible to damage just the part of the PSU that supplied the GPU because as I mentioned the PC is powering up it just wont post. If it turns out to be the PSU, I will upgrade.
  2. Hi all, Looking for some advice and if anyone has encountered this type of issue before. I built this PC in Jul 2021 and since it has been untouched except for some light cleaning every now and again. Here are the specs: Corsair Dominator RGB 32GB (4x8GB) 3600MHz CL18 DDR4 Samsung 980 PRO M.2 PCI-E Gen4 NVMe SSD 1TB AMD Ryzen 9 5950X Processor ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero Motherboard Gigabyte - GV-N3090GAMING OC-24GD Corsair RM850x Gold 850W Power Supply The PC has been flawless all of this time. Yesterday I decided to install DaVinci resolve and give it a go. I started to do some editing and applied a motion blur effect and then all of a sudden the PC turned off. I couldn't even restart with the power button. I manually disconnected the power cable then reconnect and it was able to turn on. The lights will turn on the fans start to spin although it wont post and presents the 02 error code. I cant remember if this is the normal state although the Graphics card led and fans are not lighting up or spinning. I have tried most of the advice within this thread "How to respond to a no POST or no power up situation" Its probably coincidence although I feel like DaVinci resolve killed the graphics card, which is very odd. My instinct is telling me the GPU has died although Id really appreciate some additional viewpoints. Im going to go to the shop where I purchased the GPU and see if they can run it in a test bench and see if I can isolate the cause. Cheers
  3. Thanks mate, thats what I was thinking. I know my CPU only has 4 cores although It has a very good clock speed.
  4. Budget (including currency): N/A Country: AU Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Mostly Squad and other similar games Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Hi All, I have been racking my brain as to weather I need to upgrade my rig or just the GPU. My goal is to get better FPS while gaming. At the moment I'm getting between 60-120FPS on my Acer Predator X34. My CPU runs at 4.8 GHz. Do I really need a new MOBO and CPU? Thanks heaps for the input.
