ColinAlexander reacted to Elisis in Question about Type-C motherboard headers
OP asked for a white motherboard. It ain't exactly rocket science.

If you don't like the looks that does not mean OP does not, looks are subjective. The Steel legend is decent and if OP likes it's looks, there's nothing wrong with that.

ColinAlexander got a reaction from Carbonado in Question about Type-C motherboard headers
Hey everyone. I'm about to build my very first PC, but I have a question about my motherboard.
So I'm gonna make use of the NZXT H510 case. This comes with a front port for USB 3.1 Gen 2 (3.2 Gen 2) Type C. Of course this means I need to have a Type-C header on my motherboard.
I've decided to make it extra difficult for myself because I want a white motherboard, for my black and white build. I've come up with two options:
The ASRock B550 Steel Legend which comes in at around 180 euros and the Asus PRIME X570-PRO ATX AM4 which is around 220 euros.
The difference however, is that the ASRock B550 has a 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C header (which means 5Gbps speed), whereas the ASUS PRIME has a Gen 2 10Gbps header.
My question is, can I plug my Type-C connector into the slower motherboard port without problems? I don't know if the extra speed is worth the extra money (my original budget was set to 1500 euros). Thanks!

The list looks good. You may want to get a better CPU cooler. The stock cooler is "usable" but loud and hot. For €45, you can get a Scythe Mugen 5 Rev B. Or Scythe Fuma 2 for €50.
If you want 1440p, aim for 144Hz. 60Hz is from year 1999. LG 27GN850 is great. RTX3070 should pair with it nicely.

Build is good, but I would rather get a 3200mhz ram with CL14 instead of 3600 CL18. Or get a 3600mhz with lower latency. Didn't know components are so cheap these days, thought you'd be giving more than twice the money for memory alone. Good stuff. As for the MoBo, Hardware Unboxed is recommending the MSI B550 Tomahawk because of its high quality VRM design and features at an affordable price
