  1. My sister just got accepted into a masters program for city and regional management. The software they use is pretty intensive and the school recommends a Quadro card. This is their recommended minimum laptop specs: Now, the RTX A6000 and A40 were just announced and I don't know if they'll be in laptops any time soon. I was looking at the RTX 5000 and RTX 6000 cards for a laptop but they're based on Turing architecture which is now already outdated. My question is is it still worth it to go with the Turing Quadro cards for her laptop or could we get away with going with a 30 series GeForce card? I know the Quadro cards are more accurate and allow for higher memory buses and error correcting. But, on a school work level, I feel like she could save some money and go with a 30 series and still be mostly okay and get a bit of a boost in power from the Ampere architecture. But, being I've never used Quadro cards, I feel like I might be wrong here and it might be worth it to stick with a last gen Quadro. Anyone have any insight on this?
  2. Yeah, that's what I thought. Dude, the premise of this thread started silly. Of course there is a better and easier way to do this. I was just poking around with what I thought was a fun idea.
  3. The laptop does have a dedicated GPU along with integrated graphics. Would it be possible to make one stick to integrated and the other stick with the gpu? The Zenbook Pro Duo (the dualscreen one I have) has an i9-9980HK which is an 8 core laptop. 1 for unraid, 4 for one os and 3 for the other. Still a waste of resources but much more manageable.
  4. I'm talking about something different. Of course I can run a VM on my desktop. I'm talking about doing the VM base layer with two separate vms running, one on each screen. Like the Perfect Couples PC or even like the 6 Editors 1 CPU setup
  5. I have a Zenbook Pro Duo, one of the laptops with the dual screens. I was thinking about the recent LTT video where he built the couples computer off one PC. I was wondering if that would be possible in this laptops form factor. Using that VM setup, couldn't you run on OS on the top screen and another on the bottom? Has anyone tried this? I would love to try it myself but I cannot afford the down time because I use my laptop for work.
