That's right: the cpu is an Intel Core i5 7400, so the maximum supported frequency is 2400 mhz. But my question was specifically pointed at the CL, which I don't fully understand in this particular case. Perhaps when the bios adjust the ram frequency, it also affects CL?

I've just installed a new ram module: a 1x16Gb DDR4-2666 Mhz (Kingston HX426C16FB3A/16) According to the Kingston Specifications page ( https://www.kingston.com/dataSheets/HX426C16FB3A_16.pdf ) the CL is 16. But looking at CPU-Z it says "CAS# Latency (CL): 15.0 clocks" (and then other numbers) Is this ok? or there's something I'm missing? Captions:

We have an import duty of 50% (that's right) and that 50% is after shipping: for example it out something that costs $200 in usa, and the shipping is $ 60, then you have to pay $ 130 in taxes. So it will finally cost $ 390... twice the price in origin. The other problem is that wages are very low right now.. minimum wage is about 130 us dollars a month right now, and going down. A normal wage is about 300/350 (that's considered middle class). So we have to save a lot for a decent computer.

Hello. I'm new in the forum. After several years I decided to update an old Dell Inspiron 620s PC with a not-so-old i5 4th gen processor, motherboard and memory combo that I had assembled on another build, five years ago. I thought it was a good opportunity to replace the thermal paste, and to my surprise, it was still wet on the corners. The heatsink was the Intel original thermal solution. Is this normal? Or it was perhaps too much thermal paste? Greetings from Argentina
