Greetings all I am a student of engineering in South Africa and with the recent lockdown in our country, it is nearly impossible to obtain access to the university's PC's. Thus my studies are being impacted as most other students already have access to high-end hardware, however I lack the funds to buy any of these high-end products. This is why I have turned to this forum, to help come up with a PC that is affordable, yet able to complete tasks such as 3D design and other taxing tasks. We use applications such as MATLAB for scientific simulation and AutoCAD and Solidworks for our 3D modeling and rendering. I have a standard 144Hz monitor and some fairly simple peripherals. I am working with a budget of around $1000 - $1500 Please reply to this post with your ideas, I really need them. I look forward to your replies. Dirk Hugo
