  1. After many many (~13) years of service my Samsung 32 inch 720p TV is starting to finally burn-in and fade. It has been decided that it will be retired and replaced. The burn-in has probably been aided with the TV being run for the past 2-3 years, 18+ hours every day. I don't know if this is the exact model but it is very similar: https://www.globalmediapro.com/dp/A25Q56/Samsung-LA32A330-32-inch-LCD-TV/ I am looking to get a modern-ish TV and the main requirement for it is to be able to be put to the abuse of running 18-20 hours every day and still being able to last for years. I know this probably rules out OLED even with all of the screen saving measures that are built in now adays but other than that I do not know any other things that should or could be ruled out. Any advice or recommendation for screen technologies (OLED, LED, micro LED, ect...), brands, or specific TVs would be greatly appreciated as I am not anywhere near knowledgeable when it comes to TVs. I do not know how tall of an order this is to ask from any TV so any advice on realistic longevity would be appreciated as well. I am not too worried about the number or type of inputs as I have enough cables, adapters, and switches to make almost any amount work. I also am not too worried about resolution or picture quality as anything will be a massive upgrade from what I have currently, that being said 4k or at least >1080p would be preferred if possible. In terms of size I am looking at around 50 inches. I am looking at a budget of ~$700 but suggestions outside of that range are welcome. Thanks in advance
  2. I will be going to college for engineering soon and am debating what I should get for my computer setup. I am thinking that I should get a decent not crazy gaming laptop to use for everything such as CAD, gaming, or Word. The other option I have been thinking about is upgrading my desktop and then getting a laptop for bringing to class and work outside my dorm. At my dorm I could have the desktop and do all the heavy CAD work and gaming there. To those who read this what would your opinions be for what I should bring?
  3. I have found out what causes this so I am going to mark it solved, it still happens but at least I now know why. I have been using soundtrap.com for schoolwork and when I open a project it seems to shut down the core for some reason and even persists after closing it.
  4. I just did this, hopefully it works, thanks for the help.
  5. I have reset the bios and will see if that helps, thanks for the advice
  6. Recently I was playing a game with friends that usually runs near the redline of my cpu but otherwise plays fine with no stutters or unloaded textures but this time it was getting weird frame stutters and textures not loading. I opened task manager to see what could be going on and 3 cores were fully maxed out with one having just tiny spikes for like .5% or 1% ish and otherwise nothing. I tried reopening the game and that didn't fix it but after restarting the computer it was resolved. I thought it was just some windows fluke at this point and went along until I was in a google meeting today and was getting lag spikes with peoples videos and audio which was not normal and when I checked task manager again I noticed the same thing again, I didn't take screenshots then but afterward I took a few that are below. Does anyone know what could be causing this? System Specs: CPU: i5 750 OCed 3.5Ghz @ 1.34V Motherboard: P7P55D Pro RAM: 16Gb 1333 Mhz GPU: MSI Gtx 970 OC Armor Edition 4Gb
