  1. no, this isn't it and it is only channels. i think i saw a screenshot of it when the apology video was monetized
  2. Hi, I was just wondering what extension or whatever I need to get to see if a video is monetized. I have seen it around the web, of a picture with a green tag saying 'monetized' next to videos and channels that aren't their own. Does anyone know what it is?
  3. i actually like the mail app and calendar app so
  4. I want to download it but for some reason it asks for my freaking address. https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/davinciresolve# here's the website I'm using. Is there anyway i can avoid this?
  5. I am extremely confused after watching this video and I don't really have time to watch a bunch of videos and Twitter threads about accusations against a company so could someone explain in a way that explains mostly everything but in an easy-to-understand way. That would be greatly appreciated
  6. Summary Ferrari and Qualcomm have announced a new partnership which results in Qualcomm's Snapdragon Logo being slapped on to the F1 race car (livery releasing shortly. F1 release season) and Qualcomm helping Ferrari with its technology in road cars. This partnership is also supposed to help Ferrari's Technological Plans in Formula 1, (which they kind of need). My thoughts I'm an avid F1 fan and I want Ferrari to do well so it's a win for me I guess. Rumours suggest Ferrari is going to do well this year due to new regualtions. I do want to add that AMD were on Ferrari's cars up to 2019 but since then have moved to Mercedes and has a stronger technical partnership. (if you use some AMD tools you might have seen the F1 car) Mercedes also has a partnership with Nvidia as well but more road cars based. Sources https://www.theverge.com/2022/2/8/22923670/ferrari-qualcomm-digital-chassis-partnership-cockpit-cars-automotive Fun fact: Ferrari only made road cars because they needed a venture to help them get more money for race cars. (Back in the day, sponsors wasn't a thing yet)
  7. yep, he's just gonna sponsor nearly every vpn now
  8. Summary Tencent, the Chinese Gaming Giant is rolling out FACIAL RECOGNITION to stop young children playing at night. The system works from 22:00 to 08:00. The new tech has also been implicated if a user plays a game for a certain amount of time. The bans came in after in 2018, the Chinese Government introduced the establishment of a gaming legislator and in 2019, a ban on games allowed to be used in China and when the clamping down on children gaming first began. Also, the legislation also caps spending limits for U18s. Tencent has been trialling the tech since 2018. However, many children have been using Adult ID's instead of their own. This may seem strange but in China people have to put an ID in before playing a game. The company now says using this new tech it will prevent circumventing the bans imposed in 2019. My thoughts I don't want this topic to get too political as then the topic gets locked and other things happen as well. So let us focus on the tech and privacy (why privacy? because Apple likes privacy so it is related to Technology) Would I like a child being watched by a massive tech brand? NO, definitely not Should people start being scanned just because they played a game for longer than 2 hours or so? NO Do I think children should be limited on microtransactions? Well, yes. I don't want any child draining their parents bank accounts. Even for me the Chinese limits are generous. 9. from a marketing pov this is terrible naming. does anyone expect that the average 8 year old would know what OLED meant or their parents. OLED to most people wouldn't make a difference. Adding 'plus' or 'pro' would make this probably get more sales just because the name makes it seem a lot better
  10. Everyone, please calm down as this post wasn't made to cause controversy or spark arguments. It was made to inform. This post was not for Apple mocking, or trying to promote one OS over another. I am not an Anti-Apple person (as a matter of fact I have an iPhone) or a person who likes the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. I ask everyone to calm down, and I recognise some good points here but some are only for purposes of attention or controversy. I ask once again, to remain calm. You can have your own opinion but please disagree peacefully and calmly. Sorry for the waffle
  11. Summary Nearly 10 years ago, Phil Schiller wrote an email to Eddy Cue and Steve Jobs with the title of 'HTML5 Poses Threat to Flash and the App Store' where the first part of the extract reads 'Do we think our 70/30 split will last forever?' In this email he says how Apple should lower their taxes on the App Store, revealing at that time made a billion USD from App Store tax, and suggesting that they should lower the percentage if they know they will not suffer a loss in App Store income and maintain rates. My thoughts I suggest you read the email for further details, (it is in the website link) but in short it is what Apple should have done. Get this sorted before anyone notices and makes this an issue. Now Apple is writing legal document, hearing in courts and whatever else. Even as an Apple Fan of some sort, I still think this should have done earlier, even though the reasons from Epic Games are pretty lame. Sources https://9to5mac.com/2021/06/23/app-store-mess/
