If it was out of phase I don’t think you’d be experiencing the harshness in the way you describe - both more and speakers are bright and it sound like it’s not a sound trait you like. you need to change your speakers for something ‘warmer’ - is that an option and what would the budget be please?

I’ve had a string of high end LCD TV’s and this year went OLED. For movie watching I wouldn’t go back to LCD. LG C9 is brilliant. It doesn’t have the peak brightness of some of the previous TVs but overall the picture is more pleasing. Having Dolby Vision adds a little something too

Isn’t the spec eclipsing the iPad Pro? The new CPU and GPU sound like beasts - won’t they take salsa away from the 11” Pro with this?

What sound system are you trying to send audio to please? Can you not use ARC/E-ARC?
