So I still haven't figured out a way to improve CS5.5 performance on a sort of modern machine, because NVidia changed the way the encoder works thus breaking a lot of legacy products. Meaning that Vegas Pro 10's Sony AVC rendering and my Adobe CS5.5's Mercury Playback Engine GPU acceleration doesn't work anymore. I kinda wanna see if I can get it working on a Kepler.
