  1. Valorant's servers run at a 128hz tick rate. I thought windowed ("borderless") fullscreen was pretty bad for frame rates, so I run it in regular fullscreen. Any idea what the FPS should be capped to (like, is there a formula or something)? Too low and I get tearing; too high and I imagine I get more FPS drops. My TV's 10 years old and doesn't seem to have any low latency / game mode features, unfortunately.
  2. This Blur Busters article suggests capping framerates to 3 below the monitor's refresh rate. However, one of the goals seems to be eliminating tearing, which isn't as important as delayed information or input lag in things like competitive FPSes. Intuitively, doesn't it make more sense that an uncapped framerate would provide you the most up-to-date information? I play Valorant on a 60hz TV that doesn't support G-Sync or FreeSync. If I don't cap the framerate to 80-100ish, I get huge freezes / frame drops. Unsure if it's just in my head, but limiting the FPS to 57 felt a bit sluggish. Any ideas on what the ideal settings would be?
