Well it depends on your use case.If you plan to do heavy work go for g14 .If not then m2 macbook air. Since air model dosent have fans i would not suggest that beyond light stuff.

Depends on how long u plan to use it for.....if assumption is 6-7 years then go for 16 gb

so basically i am going out of budget on this and plan to run this atleast 5-6 years.Going intel cuz i am used to it. Asked for 12 gen cuz i thought might as well get latest one given the amount of money i am spending. i have looked at rog strix scar 15 , alienware m15 r7 , rog zephyrus . dint consider lenovo cuz experience of it has been bad in the past of people i know.

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have a msi gp62 7rdx leopard pro laptop.it has a 1050, 16gb ram and i7-7700hq. 1080 resolution and 60hz is good enough. Issue for me mostly is I had bought laptop just few years ago and it's already showing it's age. I have never built a pc and it would be my first. With graphic cards changing so fast. I can't decide which to get and whether it would last me few years.
