Well that’s definitely one of the options, other much simpler would be to secure it properly when they shipping prebuild systems

Excluding Intel's usual BS, this is definitely a cool innovation

When your CPUs run so hot and are so slow compared to the competition you need to create special subzero AIOs in order to stay relevant lol

Intel damage control .. AMD really hit them hard lol.
 
To be fair, despite how inefficient TECs are, they are the only real compact option for sub ambient cooling.
Still, unless they somehow improve efficiency i don't see them ever taking of.
 
 

I think this layout would still work. The rear 140MM fan shouldn't change the cooling performance of the NH-D15S. I am just not a fan (pun intended) of that solid front panel.

Also unless you only play old games and don't plan to play new games that's a bad investment. Next gen games will be more graphic intensive and you will have gained 17% fps for $434 but will have to upgrade shortly to maintain that 1080p 144fps on new games.

Not according to the benchmark videos I've seen its not. Its no higher than 15% max. And even if I were to give it 20%, it still doesn't justify the exorbitant price tag considering gaming was its selling point. I hope AMD capitalizes on Nvidia's greed, make them regret it. If you spent another $800 more on a 3090 just to play games, get a refund, because you got ripped off. 

The problem with AMD GPUs are that reference cards are awful and custom cards are released 3-6 months after the reference card's launch. Nvidia doesnt do this nearly as much (so custom cards start arriving within a month after launch, and before that reference cards are in low supply anyway) which means if you want a new GPU this year, I'm pretty sure you'll end up with an Nvidia 30 series card.
 
$550 is also lower than MSRPs of all announced/leaked cards, which means you're going to wait even longer before your target card comes out.
 
So the question comes to "do you have a backup card that can last you say, half a year"?
