  1. IPhone 13 Pro Max Apple Watch Series 9
  2. January 2024 I bought an Apple watch to do some challenges with some friends at the Gym. It was syncing with the Fitbit app that I use to do the step challenges with other friends that use fitbit. Up until a couple weeks ago it was working. I've tried rebooting my phone and the watch with no luck getting it to sync again. I have used google and youtube trying to find an answer, usually the solution is a paid subscription app that may or may not work. I'm guessing an update broke the syncing but I'm not sure. Anyone else have this happen or know a fix to get it syncing again?
  3. I've been using Teamviewer for 10yrs and over the last few years they have made every version worse than the previous. A remote program that used to be great has become almost useless. I used to be able to open it connect to my remote computer get done what I needed to do then close out and be finished in a few minutes. Now, 30 minutes of hassles later and I still can't get it to recognize my local files so I can transfer something to my remote computer but it sees all the files on the remote computer perfectly. Does anyone know why/how to fix Teamviewers refusal to see local files or better yet, know of something that works, is free, and easy to use to transfer files over the Internet to a remote computer?
  4. Make sure you have the show on screen box checked for everything you want to see on screen while in game. You will also notice it change to in OSD for the properties when enabled.
  5. Install MSI Afterburner and monitor temps for CPU and GPU to see if something is overheating.
  6. I finally found the solution. This one setting in the Nvidia Settings, Power management mode was set to normal. The moment I set it back to Prefer maximum performance, my fps doubled and was back to normal.
  7. I tried and it had no effect. I tried system restore to put things back to a date I know things were fine and it broke Windows so I spent all day yesterday reinstalling Windows and recovering my data. As of this morning, I tested a game and ran Heaven benchmark, the problem still exists even with a fresh copy of Windows. Are there any known issues with this happening with a 4090?
  8. Yesterday I noticed my FPS in all games has been cut significantly for no apparent reason. I have no idea what to check or change since I didn't make any changes and I've checked all the settings I know to check to make sure nothing has changed, nvidia control panel, power settings, CPU, and RAM. I updated Windows after the issue started so it's fully updated. Asus TUF Gaming 4090 OC Intel 13900k 32GB Kingston FURY Beast MSI Z790 CARBON WiFi Windows 11 22H2 Nvidia driver version - 531.68 I'm not getting high temps or usage on cpu, gpu, or ram so I'm completely stumped as to what happened. Games tested since it started MW II - 130-150 fps not sure what I was getting prior since it's been a while since I played but I know it was higher Quake Champion - Normally 600+ but now only 200-235 fps America's Army Proving Grounds - Normally 350-700 depending on map size, now 150-200 fps
  9. I tried moving the drives from DS213j to the DS216j but it kept wanting to do setup that would erase the drives so I'm stuck trying to copy data over. I'm afraid trying to do a migration from the directions since the NAS reboots any time there is any real activity. I've checked the CPU and RAM while copying with robocopy, it doesn't use that much resources as it's copying slow. I didn't think to check while using Teracopy so I'm not sure what that looked like. At the moment, I'm just using robocopy with the following /E /Z /DCOPY:T /R:1 /IPG;10 As I'm writing this, it just rebooted again. I've only managed to copy 37 files in the last 5hrs so I think I'm going to order a sata to usb adapter to see if that will work.
  10. The new NAS is already setup with 2 16TB drives, not sure how this would work moving the old drives into that NAS, not something I've ever attempted.
  11. I thought of that too, when I put the drives in the DS216j, it wanted to basically setup the drives which would erase the drives. I tried reversing in case I had them in the wrong order, same thing. I may have to purchase a sata to usb adapter and try pulling directly from the drive if that's possible.
  12. It's a 2 bay NAS so I have 1 redundancy, I don't currently have a way to connect the drive directly to my PC. If I can't keep the NAS running, I may have to give that a try.
  13. It must not be a power adapter issues, just rebooted again after 2 files copied using Teracopy.
  14. I also have a DS216j, I'll swap power adapters and give it a try.
  15. My NAS is dying, it keeps rebooting randomly and during use Synology DS213j. I started copying data to a new NAS Synology DS923+ but I'm running into copy issues because of the reboots. If I copy too fast, it reboots. I've used Roadkil's Unstoppable copier, it's too fast and it reboots. I've used Teracopy, it's too fast, it reboots. I've used robocopy, it doesn't reboot as much but is extremely slow. When I first started copying data over using Unstoppable copier, I got 300 files in 1.5hrs before it rebooted. I ran robocopy over 8hrs and about 3 reboots and only got 150 files. When using Teracopy, it reboots after 1-5 files. Is there anything I can do or another option other than robocopy to copy the files slower but will resume the file transfer? robocopy resumes the file copy but the files that were copying on the reboot are always corrupt. I had switched to Teracopy because it resumes and the files copying during the reboot resume and are intact but the NAS cannot handle the speed of copying, I wish I could slow down the transfer speed for Teracopy though. I have 4700 more files to copy and it's looking like it's going to take forever if the NAS makes it. Does anyone have any suggestions for copying data over? Any different products I can use that will resume file transfers?
  16. What monitor at 1440p 240hz would you recommend?
  17. I've watched some videos gaming at different resolutions and I've heard a few comments about bottlenecks at 1080p with a 4090, thought I would ask. I would love to game at 4k if at 240hz. My monitor, I've had it for 5yrs now and it runs great with anything I throw at it. I do play mostly fps'ers so the highest smooth fps possible outweighs how pretty things look. If my monitor is fine then no need to upgrade. Games: Quake Champions, CoD, Battlefield, Apex Legends, Halo, Pubg to name a few
  18. It's been a while since I built a computer and I'm building one with the following specs: 13900K MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi Asus TUF 4090 Arctic Liquid Freezer II 420mm AIO Phanteks Eclipse P500A 1TB WD NVMe 4TB Crucial NVMe Windows 11 I have an Alienware 25in 240hz monitor, should I look at upgrading it too? I don't care about size, really looking at FPS and high refresh rate. I can't really find anything saying if it will bottleneck at 1080p so if it's fine, I won't get a new monitor.
  19. I managed to resolve my own issue. If you cannot delete a file or folder, use the following command in a command prompt running as an Administrator. All other solutions I found did not work. rd /s "\\?\filepath Are you sure (Y/N)?Y
  20. Additionally, I have been trying 3rd party software to try to delete files and Windows 11 has locked the ability to delete files. The only thing that has changed is a Windows update I installed this morning.
  21. I all of a sudden cannot delete any files in Windows 11. Every time I try to delete something I get the following error. Could not find item This item is no longer located "file path". Verify the item's location and try again. In all previous versions of Windows if I couldn't delete a file, I could reboot and/or boot into safe mode to delete. I'm finding none of those options work and I can't find anything in my Google searches that works either. Any suggestions?
  22. I did a Windows update Tuesday evening and it's stayed connected to Wifi ever since, hoping it stays that way.
  23. Thanks for your suggestions. I have the latest Windows 11 wifi drivers from Dell so hopefully either Dell or Microsoft will release a driver that will fix the issue.
  24. I highly doubt this is an incompatibility issue as if you google this issue, you'll see it's a common issue. I moved to Windows 11 on my laptop for testing and learning what's new and any issues it might have along with how to fix them. No intentions of downgrading. The laptop has an 8th gen CPU and runs great except for the wifi thing.
  25. I have already updated to the newest Windows 11 wifi drivers from the Dell website.
