I built my rig this year, upgrading from my Ryzen 5 1600 rig I built back in 2017. PSU is the oldest part I have in here, which is from 2018.

A used B450 motherboard with a proper VRM heat sink and a cheap first gen Ryzen CPU could save you more money and it would offer a nice upgrade path to any Ryzen CPU.

Airflow should be more than good. The mesh front intake will allow for a lot of air intake through the front. I don't have thermal numbers, but GamersNexus does have a video

Yes sir, at least our executives have some of a brain and actually enacted plexiglass dividers and forced customers to wear masks in the building. In fact, all of the lobbies are closing and customers can only get services through the drive thru.

I don't get it either, my coworker claims that the virus is smaller than the "holes" (idk what they're called) of regular fabric masks... but the virus is spread through spit droplets though? She also says that the CDC says that regular masks do not work... logically speaking, if regular fabric masks did not work, shouldn't the CDC say that N95 masks are only effective from the virus?

Can you elaborate? The vast majority of countries have existing mechanisms as part of their core laws (eg: The Constitution) allowing certain restrictions in the face of an imminent crisis - including, but not limited to, global pandemics.

It's not discrimination to say "You must wear a mask to go in this business". It's not censorship for private entities such as LTT Forums or Twitter to exercise their free right to enterprise to label conspiracy minded posts as possible misinformation.

There's nothing inherently political about COVID-19, and there shouldn't be anything political about wearing masks and following guidelines set down by infectious disease experts.

ragnarok0273 gives good advice here, if your priority is video editing / graphic design work. As an owner of a 3700X, it is a beefy chip, and will remain so for quite a while.

    I would get the Ryzen 7 3700X.
It has 8 cores, 16 threads, so better for video editing and graphic design, and plus the Ryzen 5 5600X likely will be out of stock immediately after it launches.
Plus the R7 3700X will be cheap after November 5th.

GuacInWhereSunDontShine got a reaction from BiG StroOnZ in "Old Soul" - A R7 3700X based PC
This was a mixture of a gradual upgrade PC starting all the way back in 2017 that evolved to the PC I have today. I started off with an i3 6100 PC, then eventually evolving to my current anti-RGB workstation, with the moniker “Old Soul”

Used for video editing, gaming and general internet use alike, this build is essentially my newborn child (and counting for all the things I’ve done to Old Soul, it probably cost as much as one too.) It has the following specifications:

    Ryzen 7 3700X
Purchase Analysis: I’ve been through plenty of CPUs (i3 6100 -> R5 1600 -> R7 3700X), and this is a CPU I am actually happy with for my use case.
    Noctua NH-L12s
Purchase Analysis: This will be changed to a better CPU cooler in the future. I’m just too lazy to change it. I built Old Soul into an ITX form factor for when I was in an ITX phase, however it proved to be too loud and hot.  I then decided to switch over to my current case, which will be discussed in its own purchase analysis. My girlfriend just doesn’t want me to spend money on PC components (and do I blame her? It’s a habit at this point.) Hence why this CPU cooler will stay for now, at least until the CPU meets its maker with the 50C idle temp. J
    G Skill Aegis 16GB DDR4 3000MHz RAM
Purchase Analysis: I bought two sticks of RAM that had differing speeds, which both sticks are overclocked to 3000MHz. I’m just stupid and bought another 8GB stick a couple yrs ago without looking at the speed on Newegg first.
    ASUS Prime B350-PLUS Motherboard
Purchase Analysis: I bought this refurbished on Newegg for $80 when I still had my Ryzen 5 1600. It still serves me well to this day on the 3700X. Although I hate the lack of case fan support and the red flashing RGB, I can just turn it off in the BIOS and the case doesn’t even have a window.
    EVGA SC GTX 1660 Super
Purchase Analysis: I got this for free when I purchased my ITX components, thanks to a special anonymous Newegg employee. I originally had a GTX 1070 FE, but proving to be louder than an Air Force jet engine, I decided to put in the GTX 1660 Super, which is much quieter. I plan to sell the 1070 FE for when I decide to get off my ass. I do not need much graphics horse power, so the 1660 Super works well for my use case.
    Fractal Design Meshify C
Purchase Analysis: This was the only case in my budget that wasn’t complete shit that did not have a side panel window. I personally hate RGB and side panel windows, as I don’t want my computer to look like a disco room (to each their own, I guess). The Meshify C was the perfect amount of sleek and professional feel that I was looking for in a case. Although it isn’t the coolest and quietest PC case in the world, it works for my particular use case.
    EVGA 750W Bronze PSU
Purchase Analysis: This is a semi-modular unit, I got this as a Christmas gift from my PC enthusiast grandfather, to use to build my 2500K spare rig, but I put it in my main rig instead, and put my 450W unit into the 2500K rig. I don’t know the quality of the PSU (besides the 80+ Bronze Rating), the PSU seems to work fine, as long as it doesn’t blow up my components, I don’t care.
    Kingston 250GB SSD
Purchase Analysis: 250GB SSD with DRAM cache that is fast for Windows. Do I need to say more?
    Western Digital Green(?) 2TB HDD
Purchase Analysis: 2TB HDD that is new and won’t corrupt my files until the foreseeable future (knock on wood). Do I need to say more?
