  1. Yeah man, I think it was before the rank shift though, am I right? I was kinda wondering if anyone made it around there recently, since most people play with >120hz monitors, and reaction time is increased for 60hz monitors
  2. It's actually pretty simple, if your parts are old, stick to 7. I tried to install 7 on my laptop for the memes, and the installation wouldn't even go through on UEFI for some reason. I had to switch to Legacy mode to install it. The thing is, Windows 10 is terrible in most ways, but most recent parts won't even have drivers for 7. So switching to 7 doesn't mean instant FPS boost or snappiness.
  3. Heyo, I've been playing CS for 4 years now, a year ago I switched to 144hz and I've gotten to global today, so I wondered if anyone has ever reached global on 60hz recently, since most average players transitioned to more modern equipment it must be way harder now. I was around DMG when I had 60hz.
  4. Just from reading the title I surely think you have a bitcoin miner. Miners generally suspend if taskmgr.exe is running. I tried to do the same thing to see if I get a performance boost on a fresh install - nope. It's a software issue. Can you try using something like Process Hacker 2 to see your usage?
  5. Close to your specs, with 1050Ti being the only difference. I wouldn't say switchable graphics work the best on Linux, in fact it's the only reason I dualboot between Win10 and Arch. Especially if you play any competitive games, or games with 3rd party AC like CSGO, you won't like it at all. Apart from that, everyone has their own plus/minus on Linux. I love how it doesn't try to mine data out of me, open source nature is just great. It won't treat me like a 12 year old, and once you get used to terminal, it's just too good to switch back. I tried CSGO on Arch, it wasn't really a nice experience - avg 80fps, while I get around 300 with the same settings on Windows. But, I've heard Pop!_OS does a great job on Linux gaming since 20.04 LTS, I've never tried it though.
  6. 6.4gb at idle is MASSIVE. I'm just reinstalling my drivers right now, before reinstallation i was sitting on a rock solid 4gb idle usage. It's 1.7gb now.
