It cannot do any of that. They only protect against mam in the middle type fraud. There is even less protection then our current system for endpoint fraud. This would be the biggest problem for anything physical. How do you prove the plysical thing and the entry on the Blockchain are the same thing? For a house as an example is it's address its id on the Blockchain? If that is the case fraud would be trivial just create a new token with a space at the end. If it is truly decentralized who could stop me from doing that? If there is some type of central authority that controls what is put on it why would you need a decentralized ledger?

A system like this also does nothing for identity theft. It is hard enough to deal with now. How do you deal with illegitimate transactions on an immutable record? If everything is ran through this it is a massive target for I'd theft and hacking. And if your id is stolen how do you prove you are you? You have zero assets tied to you and there are no other systems of record that you can use to prove yourself.

Also a system like that completely abolishes privacy to even have chance of working. For any of that to work you would need some sort of identity that represents you in all of you transactions. This would allow for perfect tracking across the internet. The Blockchain is an anti-privavacy tool by design as everything is public. Something like that would be a boon to union busting employers, repressive governments to have perfect tracking of people's activities.

And reason like that is why there is such strong pushback against it. It does nothing to solve fraud, centralizes power over every basic interaction if life for those who control the chain, and eliminates any possibility of annominity and privacy. I do not want a world like that.

So I did some calculations from Hardware unboxed 18 games tested data. And it turns out that 6800XT is at least 20% faster than 2080Ti in all resolutions. I hope you have more than one pair of shoes, would be pretty cold walking with one shoe during a winter 😁

But people did, they were trashing Intel for their pricing for ages now. Especially a lot of AMD fans, who somehow switched their stance this release.

Thing is, you can't generalize data like that in any shape or from.  What price do we pick to be the baseline? $500 build or $5000 build? Maybe let's pick it based on core count lol.
Personally I already have rest of the system, so it literally would be decision between one cpu or another, with other parts not coming into equation.

I agree that a person in his specific scenario should consider product in relation to whole budget.
But running around and saying how it's only 1% more expensive when you buy $5000 machine is not productive /hyperbole.

What if new line was named 5000 ST? Then comparison to any older gen products wouldn't be fair?

Difference is that RTX 3000 series has better price/performance ratio even with higher prices (not that I like those price hikes).
This AMD part does not have better price/performance ratio.

And heck, Nvidia's 2000 series were shat on, when it offered worse or same price/performance ratio.

Why compare X skews when there's better product on a market rigth now. What does it matter how it's called. Amd could've called 5600 GT-R 5G for all we should care.
    Can we compare a PRODUCTS?

    Ryzen CPU 1
    199$

    Ryzen CPU 2
    299$

Both CPUs will be available at the market.
By current estimations Ryzen CPU 2 will have ~20% more performance for 50% more price.

Yes, because that's what people are actually buying.

Why would we do that? Barely anyone is buying the 3600X because it is not as good of a purchase as the 3600.

When comparing the 3600 (199) which is currently the most highly recommended and bought processor, it is a 50% price increase (200 dollars to 300 dollars) and the performance gains seems to be roughly 20% going from the 3600 to the 5600X.
That's where I am getting my numbers from. By comparing currently available and highly recommended products we have been able to buy for a year, vs the new products announced.
Not sure where you got the 100% number from though. I have consistently said 50%, because that's the difference between the 3600 (199) and the 5600X (299).

And before someone try to defend the price hikes by going "well it's the non-X vs the X model so it's unfair!", please remember that AMD did not announce a non-X model so I think the only logical thing to do is compare what is on the market today vs what was announced. That seems fair, right? Comparing what you can buy today and how those products perform, vs what was announced.
I don't see why we should for some reason limit our comparisons to some arbitrary naming scheme where we can only compare products with somewhat similar names.
