  1. A hotfix has been released: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5450
  2. Looks like issue with nvcontainer (and or nvdisplay.container) and high CPU uasge: https://hothardware.com/news/a-geforce-gpu-driver-bug-is-causing-major-cpu-spikes-on-gaming-pcs I was seeing 21% usage (3070, 5800X3D) from these programs before I rolled back to 528.24.... so I would also do so as well until hotfix.
  3. AIOs from what I hear usually SHOULD have up to a 5 year lifespan (you can try and change out the water if you want but that's probably too much DIY for me). The longest I have heard an AIO lasting was 6 years from Artic. I will say if you look at the review section of most these AIOs, pump failures within 2 years you see in prob 25% of the reviews now. Hope its not a trend.
  4. You know what, on the last LianLi failure... the AIO plate when I cleaned it with 70% iso had greenish/gray stains at the corners I couldn't remove.
  5. With the EK one, one day both pumps just stopped working and temps would get up to 105C. The lines were cold, but the block was hot af. I sent video and screenshot proof to EK, but they didn't send me a new one until I had to send it back to somewhere in Europe where, after a week of their testing, they did confirm my pump went to crap. I am using the replacement they sent me now after... ...when that one failed and I was waiting for a replacement AIO, I decided to just get another because I knew it was gonna prob take 3-4 mths and picked a GN suggestion and got the LianLi Galahad on sale at MC for $119.99 (thankfully got the 2 year replacement plan; got back store credit). Was handling both my 3600 and 5800x3D great... until about a week ago when CPU temps would spike randomly when I opened programs as well as boot up times being slower than usual. I just thought it was the hotter weather in the Northeast US. Last night, I played Sniper Elite 5 and temps were consistently in the 85-91 range. I turned the CPU off, went to bed, woke up this AM and turned it on and suddenly I was getting temps in the 91-95 range at boot no load, and also got a "CPU temp HIGH" message prompted from the BIOS, when I restarted another time. Felt the pump lines and one was cold to the touch and yep, it's borked. I did do a few BIOS updates to the MB recently but I don't think they had anything to do with the failure; in the EK situation the pump one day had a complete failure and in the LianLi one it was a slow failure until one day it just stopped working. I might got Noctua Air cooling when this one fails lol Although i have a MATX case and might be hard to fit
  6. I've had two AIOs fail within 1.5 years on my first build: EK 240 DRGB (after 5 mths) + LianLi Galahad 240 (14 mths). I install mine on the top of the case as well so I don't think it's pump placement issue as mentioned by GN and i don't do any overclocking on my 5800X3D. It seems to be more common, especially now with manufacturers having issues with quality downstream, due to the pandemic and manufacturing capacity (see ASUS ROG Maximus Z690). Thankfully I was able to get an RMA on one, and had a 2 year replacement plan through MicroCenter on the other.
  7. Possible solution from the Megareddit thread: Don't reboot or change your Wi-Fi or you may have to do it again. Eats the battery on the phone too, like 99% CPU usage
  8. I have an LG6 T-Mobile and getting this error since this afternoon... and they may have borked them either through an update or something. Either way its annoying as hell, "LG IMS Stopped Working " every 30 seconds. Factory resets or other solutions have not worked. LG in big trouble lol
  9. I have a 3600 playing on 4K. Safe to say the upgrade isn't worth it now...at the current price. But, once AM5 comes out...I assume this will drop in price. I looked at the 5800X history price chart and that dropped around $75-100 at BF time last year. I'm maybe thinking this chip will do the same... but now my question is, is it even worth it then to upgrade with the benchmarks out? I am kinda stuck here lol
  10. Well guess not: On Wed 12/29/2021 10:00:21 PM your computer crashed or a problem was reported crash dump file: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP This was probably caused by the following module: fltmgr.sys (FLTMGR!FltClose+0x10) Bugcheck code: 0xC2 (0x99, 0xFFFF880AE54A02B0, 0x0, 0x0) Error: BAD_POOL_CALLER file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\fltmgr.sys product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System company: Microsoft Corporation description: Microsoft Filesystem Filter Manager Bug check description: This indicates that the current thread is making a bad pool request. This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem. The crash took place in a file system driver. Since there is no other responsible driver detected, this could be pointing to a malfunctioning drive or corrupted disk. It's suggested that you run CHKDSK.
  11. I may of tracked this down; don't think its OC/XMP related. I went down some rabbit holes and found that Ryzen and Logitech drivers dont always play nice. I have a K360 keyboard, and noticed the drivers in device manager had a yellow sign next to them, and were just listed as "logitech cordless device". I had this receiver plugged into the 3.0 USB port on my front IO of my case and NOT the MB. I plugged it into the MB, and the drivers installed and now show up correctly. No new BSODs yet but here's to hoping
  12. Hey folks, I have been getting some random BSODs (two of them IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_EQUAL), even when idle, ever since updating my TUF B550M's Bios to Version 2423. I have a Ryzen 5 3600 with OCs from Buildzoid, with Ballistix DDR4 RAM 3600 (XMP enabled), and a RTX 3070 FE on 750W Power Supply (SILVERSTONE SST-ET750). Running Windows 10 21H2. I've run SFC, DISM, CHKDSK, DDU'd and reinstalled video and audio drivers. Dumps below: https://www.dropbox.com/s/70lk7uhhsr4r85b/BSOD 12-29.rar?dl=0
  13. Fractal Torrent was the case (due to shitty fan hub) I've also had two parts from Amazon (memory, AIO) crap themselves under a month's use
  14. I feel like these QC issues are gonna happen more and more with demand so high, supply so low, and labor harder to come by $600 MB lol
  15. Thanks for the tip! The run box wasn't working, but I found a way to the restore point screen: cmd, then "shutdown /r /o" (I found this here: https://www.lifewire.com/shutdown-command-2618100) to get into the Advanced Boot menu. I did have a restore point from a few days ago, rolled back, and it worked! I am back up and running. Also found out the new beta of RivaTuner now supports Halo Infinite so yeah, all this hassle for nothing,
  16. Specs: Ryzen 5 3600, TUF B550-M motherboard, 32 GB RAM, 2 NvME (one with OS on it), 1 SSD. I made a registry boo-boo and I hope I didn't brick my MB or something. So I wanted to run RivaTuner on Halo Infinite and needed permissions to access the WindowsApps folder. I created access to that with this tip, which worked BUT I still wasn't able to add HaloInfinite.exe to the custom profile section in RT to get it to work because Windows said I didn't have access. I googled some stuff, and found a registry edit (which I did foolishly without backing up). https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/took-ownership-but-cannot-make-changes-to/7eed2eb9-2843-414b-805d-2e940a19cfa8 I wasn't able to change HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG but I changed the rest. I rebooted my PC, and now I cannot run EXE files (minus chrome). Search doesn't work, the start button doesn't work. Windows boots up but no exe files run, including explorer.exe. I also have no sound. I did these tips, and I still can't run anything. I tried to run sfc /scannow in cmd, and I get a "You must be an administrator running a console session in order to use the sfc utility". I couldn't find a fix, so I said screw it, I'll just boot the Windows 10 Installation Media and see if I can recover or do a clean install. Despite having my USB flash drive, formatted with the ISO on it, the boot media won't load. I will also add now in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT there is no "ALL APPLICATION PACKAGES" group. Please help.
  17. Awesome intel. I have a R5 3600 and a 3070 FE on B550 and see the instore MicroCenter prices today for 5600X (279) and 5800X (329). I am just curious if I should jump on that, or wait for the new Zen 4 (which I would assume would be a new platform).
  18. The stock cooler for what you are doing is not enough. Try with AIO or a decent air cooler
  19. Hello, I have a Cooler Master MB311L case. I lost some screws/standoffs for the 2.5 SSD slots. I have emailed them, but it's taking them a long time to get back to me. Does anyone know the name of these? I can't find them anywhere on retailers but I also don't know the name to look for. I've attached pics, also include video of what I am looking for:
