  1. Yeah it is. (My friend won't be available for the rest of the night to work on the problem unfortunately. But we'll most likely will be working on the problem tomorrow as well. So if you are still willing to help tomorrow that would be very kind. Otherwise no hard feelings, you've already been very helpful and I understand that you can't spent your entire life trying to fix some strangers problem haha. Thanks a lot for everything btw.)
  2. Yeah we already tried that but when he does this he can't even see the hotspot network on his PC. Maybe it's broadcasting in 5Ghz and that's why.
  3. So we just did this and tried to connect to the 2.4Ghz and it still does the same thing...
  4. He just sent me this. Any idea what's happening haha? Why is the state ''disconnected''
  5. There is nothing connected in the Ethernet port on the Motherboard.
  6. It is not in Legacy currently, but it is broadcasting in 802.11n which should work with this card. He just moved in to his new apartment and tried to connect to the network with an other card earlier and it did the same thing. But then he gave the card he was currently testing to his roommate and it work fine for him. Apparently he had the same problem before moving in a few years ago and couldn't fix it so he used a very long Ethernet cable.
  7. It is currently in the 1st pci-e 1x from the bottom up. We tried all the available pci-e slot too but none worked.
  8. Hey guys I need help. I'm trying to help my friend install his Wifi card (TL-WN881ND) remotely and things aren't working out. His PC recognize the card and he installed the latest driver, but he still can't connect to any network. When he tries to connect to his network nothing happens. Like if it's not even trying to connect. I'm out of ideas and that's the 2nd card that does this with his PC. You'd save us a lot of trouble if some generous souls could help us fix this. Thank you very much. 322654829_5849456245143300_5927992955510008432_n.mp4
  9. How does it work? Do you only have to install the optane module and it automatically speeds up your HDD? Or do you have to install drivers and do some software work for it to work?
  10. So I went and looked at the prices and you are right, optane memory is very expensive. But that raze more question. I've seen a 16 Gb optane module on newegg and that got me wondering, what are you supposed to do with that? You install it in your pc and it serve's as cache for you CPU ? And if so, would you need to install some sort of driver for your cpu to understand that the optane module is there as cache ? I really don't seem to understand the point of this kind of memory.
  11. Hi all, I was reading some stuff about optane memory and I was wondering was it is. Is it like a SSD that you plug into a DDR4 slot, but serve as storage device ? Also, would a typical gamer benefit from it versus a normal SSD or M.2 ?
  12. 1) & 2) correct 3) That was nothing, he just thought his CPU was stock inside the socket, but he did not know how the AMD Bracket worked. He took out his CPU, cleaned his board and then reinstalled the CPU.
