  1. OK. I will give that a try. I need a USB stick for both nodes. Do I need to install TrueNas on both or just one?
  2. Hello Together I got an old Nimble CS3000 from my work. The problem here was that an expansion shelf was attached. Now you can not remove this without HPE support contract. The thing is of course EOL. The server consists of 2 nodes which together manage 24 disks. The OS is started via USB stick. It is a motherboard from Supermicro (X10DRS-4U). Now I wonder if theoretically TrueNas Scale could be installed? Thanks Mathis
  3. Budget (including currency): 150 - 200 $ Country: Switzerland Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: new TrueNas build Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I need like 6-8 Bays for 3.5" Drives and a normal ATX PSU should fit. Also a normal supermicro mainboard should fit. Thanks Mathis

  12. Hello I am looking for a storage operating system for my DL380e Gen8. I have 12x 2TB and 2x 70GB SSD storage. The raid controller is in HBE mode, which means passthrough of the disks to the server. It should have a web interface and support ISCSI. I have already tried Truenas. Unfortunately this does not work. Thanks a lot

  15. Thanks for your answer I don't mind if I have to build the server myself. However, I prefer off-the-shelf solutions. Budget about 300 CHF = 325 $ HP, DELL, Netapp, Nimble. I must be able to install a 10 Gbit card. ISCSI should also be available. Thanks
  16. Hello Hello I am looking for a storage server with about at least 10 TB of storage (preferably SSD or SAS HDD). Unfortunately I can not find anything good. Tips? I still have an old server motherboard, CPUs and power supply there, but unfortunately no case. It should be deliverable to Switzerland. Thanks

  19. Hello I bought an ML350 G6 from HP Server. But now it is very noisy and cannot be used in the office. So I bought Noctua NF-A9 PWM fans. But these are now 4 pin fans. How can I convert them into a 5 pin fan? Attached is the 4-pin fan and the 5-pin fan from the server. Thanks
