What do you mean the plug is incompatible? Just buy a 3-prong cable for US outlets, and change the voltage if there is a switch on the PSU.

Both really. The RTX 3060 shows how pathetic NVIDIA's attempts to kill the 1060 6GB are.

That's not an error, that's a log file. If you believe that your hardware is all working, the best thing is to reinstall Windows, or at the very least do an upgrade install to the same version.

Throttling possibly. Your CPU is rubbish.

That's wrong... they dropped Fermi and they dropped Kepler mobile, but they did not drop 600 series cards. I have a Kepler based GT 630 with the latest drivers working well.

GT 720 is basically the same price and slightly faster. Alternatively, you can get an R7 250x for $30 to $35.

I am very doubtful that the fans and speaker broke on their own. He was likely fiddling around in the laptop and broke some connectors, or didn't reseat them properly. Get him to admit that he did it (pretty easy to tell what happened if they worked before the repair but didn't after) in writing, and you can probably get them fixed for free.

This does seem to be an issue with Vanguard, I don't see any solutions online other than uninstalling it. I guess this is what happens when you let companies install a glorified rootkit to "patrol" for cheats... Are you installing the WiFi drivers from the Asus website, or the Intel website? Maybe changing the drivers to the version you don't have might work.

    Some issues here:
    1. The i3-6006U is not a quad core. It's a 2c4t part, and probably not a very fast one. It should be enough for your use case, though.
    2. 4GB RAM will definitely bog you down because Windows 10 is fat. Upgrading to 8GB would help a lot.
    3. Mechanical HDD is also a large factor in slowness, getting even a cheap SSD will breathe life into the system, especially since Windows 10 loves obliterating hard drives' performance.
