  1. Hey sorry, just saw this now...did you figure out your issue?
  2. I may consider it if my PC starts acting unstable again, but for now I don't want to mess with anything since it's working. I was wondering whether adding voltage to the CPU and decreasing the voltage even makes sense as a fix, or if it's going to lower the lifetime of my hardware?
  3. Hi guys! In case anyone is still following along, I think I've gotten my computer stable for the time being. The "Fix" for now seems to have been lowering the ratio on P core 2 and 3 to 59x and increasing the all-core voltage offset by +.0100 Obviously, needing to underclock and overvolt my CPU that is advertised and marketed as a binned 13900K is disappointing, but having my computer stable for now is good. If anyone has seen or heard of any other issues with the 13900KS being instable at factory clocks let me know please! And thank you all again for the tips and suggestions!
  4. Chrome installed without any issues. Discord installation keeps failing, and so does Nvidia Drivers and GeForce Experience. Edit: Restarted PC and Discord installed. Neither Discord or Chrome have crashed to desktop yet. Nvidia installer is still crashing to desktop without warning/error. Edit: Discord just crashed, but restarted without error. Before the Windows reinstall it almost always would NOT restart itself.
  5. I'm trying to use Windows 10. I cancelled the installation that was stuck on "Getting Updates". Restarted AGAIN with another fresh SSD wipe, and this time it was successful... I have no idea what's going on. Will try installing discord and chrome now...
  6. Hi I've gotten to this step but directly after installing Windows, my computer restarts (as it should) and goes into a BSOD loop, with error code 0cx0000a1. I restored my BIOS settings to default and tried it again and I got an error while installing Windows, during the step "Getting Files ready for installation (98%)": "Windows installation encountered an unexpected error. Verify that the installation sources are accessible, and restart the installation. Error code: 0xC0000005" I'm now trying again, and the installer is spending more time on "Installing Updates" than it has before, but this seems like it may not a Windows error... I will edit if the installer passes the "Installing Updates" step. Any suggestions?
  7. Thanks guys, sorry for not replying sooner! I appreciate all the discussion. I am probably going to reinstall Windows, I had already figured it would probably come to this . I'll probably get to it sometime next week, and will update you guys on whether or not it resolves it! Thank you!
  8. Yep both these are set! Sadly still crashing What would be the fix for that? Reinstalling windows? Or a new SSD?
  9. Yep I've done this! Yep Malwarebytes scanned my memory I can't remember updating any drivers that broke this. Is there a reason you think it's driver related? Could this be a hardware related issue? Do the dump files, etc. suggest that? I recently had to get a new PSU because I woke up and my old power supply had died overnight, maybe it took something else along with it? The computer works mostly fine, except for the above issues so I assumed it wasn't hardware.
  10. A couple seconds after disabling hardware acceleration my Discord crashed again.
  11. I'll try this! But also I've run SFC multiple times and passed. Thank you
  12. Hey there! The Problem: Recently I've been having issues with Discord and Chrome crashing to desktop, usually without an error message. I have example mini dump files for both of these. Both show error: ERROR_CODE: (NTSTATUS) 0xc0000005 - The instruction at 0x%p referenced memory at 0x%p. The memory could not be %s. I've also had similar crashes with Malwarebytes. Additionally, it seems that these apps crash LESS often while I have a game open, or maybe while they are not focused apps, however these observations are subjective. Lastly, when using the terminal in WSL 2 with Ubuntu 20.04 on the same machine through the VSCode server, I run into segmentation faults with nearly every command. When closing out of the WSL terminal and back into CMD prompt, I run `wsl --shutdown` and this seems to give me a BSOD with a Hypervisor Error. What I've already tried: So far, I've tried: Running Memtest86 -- Passed Running Windows Memory Diagnostic -- Passed sfc /scannow -- Passed Chkdsk -- Passed Running Malwarebytes -- No viruses Repairing Windows Reinstalling all of the problematic apps Enabling/Disabling XMP Disabling ASUS Multicore Enhancement Via the BIOS Updating the BIOS and Chipset to the latest ... Other stuff that I cannot remember Hardware & OS: Intel 13900-KS Asus Z790-E Gaming Wifi Motherboard Nvidia RTX 4090 32GB GSkill Trident Z@6000 1200W Seasonic PSU Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD Samsung 970 Evo 1TB SSD Windows 10 Home Edition I've also attached a DxDiag just in case that helps. Please let me know if there's any other information that I can provide to help and thank you in advance for you time! discord_crash_8.2.23.txt chrome_crash_8.8.23.txt DxDiag.txt
  13. ` Would you be able to recommend a Thunderbolt dock that fits my use case? I've been trying to find one for a while and have returned like 3 so far to Amazon lol. I plan on getting a Z790 motherboard with TB4 but right now I only have TB3 on my Z490 motherboadrd.
  14. I'd like to be able to run all my peripherals and monitors to my PC from across the room, and leave my computer plugged in next to my TV on the other side of the room. One cable for my 2 monitors and mouse + keyboard. What kind of dock do I need so that my monitor runs at at least 144hz?
