I have an old alienware x51 r2 and would like to upgrade and build my own pc. However money is tight so I was wondering if in the mean time if i could buy a new case, motherboar,cpu and ssd into the new case. And use the gtx 760 that is in the alienware for now until i can find and get a 3050 or 3060. Basically upgrade little by little inside a new case. Is this a good idea? If so anybody have any suggestion on pieces and compatability? will my old gpu work on a more modern motherboard? Current pc specs are cpu: intel i7 4770 ram:8 gigs gpu: gtx 760 budget: not sure still new to all this. but about 500 to transfer what i can to new case, cpu, motherboard, and ssd.

My budget is 1500 and yes I was planning on using stock cooler unless that's a bad idea? And okay so go with normal hard drive?

My old Alienware is about six years old with an GTX like 750 and the CPU is an i7 oldir it's and old Alienware area 51 and I usually okay action games.
