I was proposing the R1 Ultimate, not the R1 Universal.

Geodude looks rockin', dude. But I have to ask: Why not use Cryorig's R1 Ultimate, instead of the R1 Universal? You may not have needed to remove fins/bend the tower.

Any idea what tool he got, and when he's going to use it?

I'm currently using Razer Blackwidow Stealth TE, and I want a new one that has backlighting. I dislike needing to find keys in the dark by monitor glow.

I use Chrome, so I may be biased. I would like to be able to uninstall Samsung's browser. I honestly wouldn't mind pre-installed apps or programs if we were allowed to uninstall whichever ones we wished (e.g. the Xbox App on Windows 10 is the most useless thing ever if you don't have an Xbox...).
-
I fear that the user experience will deteriorate for Android smartphone users in the EU. The amount of bloatware that can't be uninstalled is already high. If the default applications being pre-installed were ones that a majority of people use (e.g. Facebook on the S7 From T-Mobile in the US), then I wouldn't have an issue. But if most people are using the default Google apps, then you're hurting them by pre-installing apps they won't use (and can't uninstall without rooting). You're taking away device storage space that they've payed for. Or just make it so that any app can be uninstalled (and not just disabled) without rooting. Not sure if this is a global problem, or just a US problem...

Planning a strange build (just for fun)
RazrLeaf replied to AlbinoTexan's topic in Custom Loop and Exotic Cooling
This sounds super ballsy. If your friend is this skilled with precisions manufacturing, he should start a business. And perhaps look for some hydrophobic spray that you could apply to all the parts as an added precaution? -
The major (hardware) advantage to EVGA's card is the use of ball bearing fans, and the physically smaller size. I would also choose it if it had a >10% price advantage. When I was shopping, I wanted a backplate, and a 970 that would be compatible with an EK water block, if I decided to liquid cool down the line. Wanting to preserve the best water cooling potential made me go with the Strix, as it was the only 970 that had all of it's memory modules on the same side as the GPU.

Asus Strix and Mini, Gigabyte G1 Gaming and Xtreme Gaming, MSi Gaming 100ME, and Zotac AMP! Extreme, AMP! Extreme Core, and AMP! Omega Core. I haven't had a chance to check on cards that aren't available in the US market, but I think there are a few others from the likes of Galax and Inno3D.

Just wanted to let @LinusTech know that EK makes plugs so you don't have to use every port on the 7-block serial connector. They also have one for their parallel FC-Terminals as well. I think it's the Acer Predator X34. -

No, as DisplayPort also has Multi-Stream Transport (MST). Using MST, it can support two 4K (3840×2160) displays at 60 Hz, or up to four WQXGA (2560×1600) displays at 60Hz in 24-bit RGB mode. I don't know about multiple G-Sync monitors on one thunderbolt cable, however. -

The Thunderbolt port/cable can output anything it can receive over DisplayPort. The Thunderbolt AIC has a port where you plug in the DP output from the GPU. This is why there is that short cable that looks like it goes from one PCIe device to another on that back of Linus's rig. -
Do you have a switch or brand or feature or aesthetic preference? I'd be hard pressed to call any one keyboard "best," as there are so many preferential aspects.

You're fine. No difference in draw, performance, or efficiency. In fact, efficiency may be ever so slightly higher, as more individual wires are carrying current from the PSU to GPU. Routing the extra loop is usually ugly. What I have seen done in SLI set ups, is that you run 2 sets of dual, and have the second connection on both go on the second GPU.
