Set everything to high at 1440p, no AA, turn off hairworks, SSAO on. You should get at least 30 fps if not turn down grass settings to medium.

I have 16GB with pagefile disabled, max out it used 10GB so 16GB is definitely enough.

I never said you'd be able to get 60 fps on ultra. To me, smooth FPS is more important then good looking graphics. I'd rather play at 120 fps with minimum graphics then play at 30 with ultra.
 
PS: Dont forget driver updates. They have a big impact on performance early after a game release.

Far Cry 4 is a mess, didn't nearly stand up to far cry 3 imo. Especially in terms of story, and then these terrible technical issues with SLI and such.

While we are getting it "nearly two years" (1 year and 4 months) after the original xbox 360 and ps3 versions, they have spent over a year at this point updating the textures and optimizing the game after the initial release for higher end hardware on the new consoles and PC. We have already seen the benefits we get as a PC gaming community in graphics from the jump to "next-gen" in games like Metal Gear Solid V. Rockstar was put in a difficult position, probably not fully realizing the time it would take to develop gta V, and having to finish the game later than expected, near the turn between console generations. You can't just wait a year to release a game like that, the revenue loss would just be massive, they had to release it for the current gen when they did. I actually respect them for taking the time to up the graphical fidelity and content of their game, and delivering that version to us PC gamers, rather than some shitty and rushed 360 port.

It's probably not that; The fact that the game is rendering differently is scary. ACU, lets say, isn't that optimized on PC.

If you're using Mod Organizer, there is a separate skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini file set up for each profile -- edit the ini from within Mod Organizer and you shouldn't have a problem.
 
Alternatively, if you're attempting to launch Skyrim from the launcher as opposed to just running the raw exe, the file might be resetting itself every time you launch the game.

As for all those bitching about how long it has been, I like the strategy they have taken - Taking a year to actually add value to the newer version of the game, rather than releasing a sub-par, unoptimised piece of crap. Rockstar is one of the few huge developers that, for the most part, has proved they actually know what they are doing... so I have faith at the moment that they will have done a good Job.

Yea, this is possibly the most beautiful and optimized game I've played. SO GOOD, 60 fps rock solid, only using half of each of my 780's
And the camera work is really cool.

TB doesn't spoil anything in any of his videos, he is generally spoiler free, in the war of mine video he basically looks around his base, and does a side mission, he skips all the dialogue so that he doenst ruin anything
