As long as the speeds of the RAM are identical or very close, and timing, then you should be fine, assuming you have 4 slots on your mobo for RAM

The reveal is on October 28th, so the release will be sometime in November most likely.
By then Zen 3 CPUs should also be out, so there's that as well.

Both of these will not give you a good experience at 4k.

    Whats the budget?

I've used Acronis True Image that came free with an SSD i bought. The computer boot with no problem but it was kinda janky at best. So i re-build the installation from scratch.

just by copying everything over, no. you need a migration tool to do that. but, its not always 100% reliable and data coruption is a common problem that happens during this process. that's why I said to make a backup of your files, do a fresh installation on the new drive and then copy your documents/files/games onto the new drive.

You can reinstall your OS and manually move the files back and reinstall programs, or you can use a clone program. The former is usually recommended, but the latter can work too.
Personally I have had good luck with Macrium Reflect (Free) using their provided tutorial on YouTube:

This does require that you have a way to have both SSD's installed in the system at the same time, so may require you to buy an adapter to plug both drives in (if you motherboard doesn't have multiple M.2 slots).

Perhaps it's just me being anal retentive but I wouldn't trust chips from a semiconductor manufacturer I've never heard of.  It used to be that Samsung B-Die was the best thing for (first gen) Ryzen as well.  Right now I (personally) would go for Samsung, SK Hynix, etc.  The bigger names.  Of the two kits you showed, I think both are using Samsung.  Both of the kits also have a limited lifetime warranty.

Let's be honest, the G.Skill kit looks better.

Asking in general to anyone else watching, does anyone else think the minute difference in timings between the two kits would make a difference?  What if OP went to a lower mem frequency but got a better CAS latency?

Look at reviews...see what chips are in that particular memory kit, etc.  Corsair and G. Skill both have (subjectively) good and bad stuff.  I'm using G.Skill in my current box and I've used Corsair on the last two.

    I'd take a 3300X or even a 3100 over the 2600 for gaming.

There will be Zen 3 support on select B450/X470 boards with a no-going-back beta BIOS, as in you won't be able to downgrade to an older BIOS revision if you want to use Zen 2/Zen+/Zen in that specific board.

Apple50000 reacted to NewMaxx in Ps5 custom ssd whats so special about it?
The only thing unique about the SSD itself is that the controller is 12-channel. Therefore if you have 12 two-plane dies of TLC at 512Gb/die you will get ~5000+ MB/s reads (example math here - actual tR would be lower) with 825GB (768GiB) of storage. The drive itself is DRAM-less and relies on SRAM because you don't need a lot of mapping metadata if the data is in large, contiguous chunks, as you have with streaming - that is to say, sequential and compressible data (which also reduces the amount of storage required). The PS5 and Series X both have a hardware accelerator/block for compression, Kraken and BCPack respectively with Zlib fallback. While the PS5 also has a DMA block and co-processors the XBox utilizes DirectStorage instead to use some of the general purpose CPU for management.

its mostly optimisations sony made on the hardware side to reduce bottlenecks and allow game data to be sent directly to the gpu instead of going through the cpu first. they also engineered their own custom firmware and custom ssd controller i think

Performance are the same, tuning potential are just as limited (due to heavy binning from both companies) and price are the same, it comes to which looks better to you then

gskill has better performance for the money up the entire stack, if both kits are cl18 3600 the gskill kit should at least be cheaper, or u can just pick something directly from the motherboard qvl.

Performance would be equal with them as they share the same specs. As for the company, those are my first G.Skill modules. I've been using Corsair several times over the years and their RMA support is pretty good. Usually less than a week to get a replacement shipped.
