  1. Hi Guys, I am having problems with audio popping/crackling and general stuttering when my PC is under load. I have tried all the techniques i could find online for reducing DPC Latency and they have had no impact. Although i have noticed that if i run my RAM at the default 2133MHz the problem is greatly reduced but as soon as I enable XMP which bumps it up to 3600MHz the stuttering and audio popping/crackling becomes much more prominent. My specs: B450 Aorus Pro Ryzen 7 3700x Gtx 970 Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb 3600mhz EVGA supernova G+ 750 I have used the GTX 970 on a previous motherboard and had no issues so I am sure that isn't the problem, i also had the problem while using my last PSU and found upgrading to the Supernova made no difference also. I have also done a clean install of windows on a fresh SSD, updated all the chipset drivers, BIOS, Nvidia drivers etc. The only things that it could be (from what i can tell) is the mobo, RAM or CPU but I dont know how to fix whatever the issue is. I cant find any information on how to fix the problem online so any help would be much appreciated. Also apologies if I have missed a thread regarding this on the forum, i have had this problem for months now and its driving me mad.
  2. I suppose that's why I'm having such a tough time solving the issue . The only thing I have read that couldbe the cause is voltages to certain chipsets may be causing problems because the voltage is too low and is causing the driver to restart causing the popping/crackling but if that is the case I haven't got a clue on how to fix it.
  3. The only other headset I have is an old turtle beach which used to throw out all sorts of electric noise so I won't be able to tell the difference, plus the one I have is relatively new and didn't give me any issues on the last motherboard. I did however change my ethernet cable the other day which reduced the problem slightly, is it possible that there's a problem with LAN?
  4. I have bought a USB to 3.5mm jack with an external sound card and it hasn't had any effect. Any ideas?
  5. Yes, I have tried using different ports to plug in my headset but it doesn't make a difference but the headset is fine because I can use it with my Ps4 and I get not problems, plus the popping happens when I use my monitors built in speakers as well.
  6. Hi guys, I am struggling with a persistent audio problem that has been afflicting me for months now. Basically i am having audio popping and crackling when i am running my PC under any kind of load. The issues seems to start off fairly small and just gets progressively worse the longer i use my PC. Playing games seems to make the problem worse even after closing the game down and even restarting the my PC does not always work. My specs are: Aorus B450 Pro Ryzen 3700x GTX 970 Corsair Vengeance 3600mhz 16GB EVGA SuperNOVA 750W Windows 10 OS Version 2004 I have concluded that windows is not the problem because i have bought a new SSD to see if a fresh install with fresh drivers would solve it and it made no difference. I have updated the Chipsets and drivers and followed all sorts of Youtube videos to reduce audio crackling including turning off enhancements reducing sound quality, changing the power settings for my CPU, LatencyMon etc, but still the problem persists. I have read on other forums that the problem could be voltage related but they never seem to elaborate on how to rectify the issue. I am running the optimised defaults in the BIOS settings with my RAM running at the default profile and even so i have these audio pops, stutters and crackles. I recently replaced my old 600w PSU with the SuperNOVA 750w and this also didn't alleviate the issue. I didn't have any problems with my GTX 970 on my old board so i am fairly sure that it is not the cause also. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i am starting to lose my mind . Please forgive me if this has been solved already i have looked through the forums and have not found any threads that have solved my issue. Thanks in advance .
