I never thought of pcpartpicker, It's still a work in progress when it comes to pricing for India, but still very useful for filtering. Will have to look through it, might just get me that VA panel. Thanks for the reply again.

I like the idea but there is no real second hand market in my current area. Refurbished is another option and when the time comes to pull the trigger, I will certainly look into it. Thanks for the reply.

So I read the guide and it says "They are all shit, just get the cheapest one." Some background I use the XPS-15 9560 and find its screen to be too bright for long hours, I need a cheap monitor for programming and web-surfing since that's all I have been doing now. The problem is reviews for cheap monitors are hard to find, from my research The absolute should haves are Flicker free no PWM Low brightness / Dark Room support (The lowest level of brightness should actually be low). Some Nice to haves would be decent contrast ratio, some random reddit thread said 1500:1 should be minimum, most IPS monitors are at best 1000:1 A Veas Mount support. Should be from a decent (Tier 1) brand Tier 1. LG, Samsung, Asus, BenQ, Dell, HP Tier 2. Lenovo, Acer. AOC. I am from India so will be shopping from Amazon India A List of best sellers is https://www.amazon.in/gp/bestsellers/computers/1375425031/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_computers I am looking for some thing as cheap as possible but lets say around 15000 Indian Rupees (Should be around 200 USD) My choices in no real order are Dell P2419H (rting bothered to review it at least) BenQ EW2480 (Seems like a worth while upgrade from GW2480) BenQ GW2480 (Some random Indian website crowned it as the best budget monitor for Eye care) I guess VA Panels are better for my usage considering they have better contrast, but they are nowhere to be found, I don't want to spend on gaming features like xxx hz or super low response time, I am never going to use those, I would rather go for for bigger 27 inch or 1440p or ultrawide something like that. Any suggestions recommendations or experiences are welcome as always. Thanks for the help, cheers.

How to implement the backend of a journey planner ?
mrmayurs4 replied to mrmayurs4's topic in Programming
I don't know Haskell but will look it to it and get back to you, My question is how am I supposed to implement the algorithm above on a server provided the information available is here and the official journey planner, lets forget about cost and time I just want to go from source station to destination station, all that's needed is the list of stations and interchanges the user will have to take. -
How to implement the backend of a journey planner ?
mrmayurs4 replied to mrmayurs4's topic in Programming
Thanks for the reply Thanks for the reply, but I really don't know anything about node or express, it would be nice if you could point me to some resource or example with similar sort of implementation. If need be I am ready to learn node.js . I am currently using w3schools to learn the basics of node.js but don't want to sink too much time unless its the final solution. -
How to implement the backend of a journey planner ?
mrmayurs4 replied to mrmayurs4's topic in Programming
Thanks for the suggestion and that's my backup plan. But I would really like to build a proper backend. It's a college project and I want to learn how to use databases and other backend services (Which I know very little about ). It's more about learning to do something rather than getting the app done. -
I am planning to make an app for the metro system in my city. I am stumped as to how to implement the backend if I know the source and destination. I basically want to make a clean user-friendly app that gives the info shown in the photo(From Official website) http://www.delhimetrorail.com/metro-fares.aspx Any Sort of help is appreciated. I am completely stumped

Thanks For the Input I wish I could wait but this has to be now and most of the HQCPU laptops will not suffice as either they are too bulky or don't have the battery to last 8ish hours that's why I was leaning on the specter x360

Hello Everyone I'm looking for a lightish programming laptop. Total budget and country of purchase: $800 - $1500(including Taxes) Do you prefer a 2 in 1 form factor, good battery life or best specifications for the money? Pick or include any that apply. 2 in 1 not required. Good battery preferred. How important is weight and thinness to you? DONT care about thinness but it should be lightish say under 2kg for 15-inch screen size. Which OS do you require? Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux. Windows and Linux Do you have a preferred screen size? If indifferent, put N/A. N/A Are you doing any CAD/video editing/photo editing/gaming? List which programs/games you desire to run. light Gaming. College(Comp Sci). Maybe light photo and video editing. MX150 should suffice however a 1050 is much appreciated If you're gaming, do you have certain games you want to play? At what settings and FPS do you want? League of Legends(max) and Overwatch(high) at 60fps at least. Might play some other games. Any specific requirements such as good keyboard, reliable build quality, touch-screen, finger-print reader, optical drive or good input devices (keyboard/touchpad)? Needs to be sturdy enough to last minimum 3 years. Good keyboard IS A MUST. Touchscreen, a fingerprint reader is a bonus, optical drive not required. THE laptop either must have 16GB ram or should be user upgradable to 16 GB in the future Leave any finishing thoughts here that you may feel are necessary and beneficial to the discussion. Something that doesn't look like a transformer please. Also make sure it is readily available in the usa. the budget is up to 1400 USD before taxes so say around 1500 USD MAX I was Considering the Specter x360 15 http://store.hp.com/us/en/pdp/hp-spectre-x360-15-bl152nr Dell XPS 15 i5 7300HQ one http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/dell-laptops/xps-15/spd/xps-15-9560-laptop/dncwxb1641sv2 On other hands the Asus UX330 Is a good option but can't find it with 16 gigs of Ram https://www.amazon.com/dp/B075N1YHVK?ref_=ams_ad_dp_ttl (I am ready to drop the GPU for the Asus mode I think its worth it ) ACER Swift 3 looks to be bang for the buck but concerned about reliability https://www.amazon.com/Acer-i5-8250U-NVIDIA-GeForce-SF314-52G-55WQ/dp/B0746P25QX/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_147_tr_t_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=4RRBDK8ZJ2F7PS7FBHTW Some other which come to mind are the Yoga 720 ( concerned about battery and heat management) Some other Acer laptops (Concerned about build quality) I am also open to business laptops like the Thinkpads.
