  1. I would probably make a new graphics processing and mixing build. Could really use all them PCIE lanes
  2. Ive just changed it to an AMD built to see the difference in price. I can get it under $4000 which is definitely a good thing
  3. Thats what the build is currently looking like, with all the bits and pieces, extra cables and what not. http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=388208&action=wish_lists
  4. The motherboard also only has two 3.0 16x slots. I've considered going team red, X99 is out of my price range. I'm not planning to edit anything on it. I'm using vMix and the built in multi-corder to individually record all of the inputs as well as on the cameras, the mix it and send it out to the screens.
  5. I'm honestly considering the R9 259x2 as the only model available is the XFX one for $999. A 970 is going to cost me about $500 anyway, 980 for about $700-800 Its probably what im going to end up doing now.
  6. The cheapest 980 is this one (http://goo.gl/8fSCbZ) and its $699. 970 Gigabyte G1 Gaming (windforce cooler) for $519
  7. If i decide to go with a single 980 i have to get one that doesn't have the 700 series style outputs (DVI x2, DP, HDMI), HDMI is something that's just never used, in fact hated at times. Id be using DP on the monitors then DVI to the projectors.
  8. Motherboards isn't a yes at this stage, probably going to change it for more pcie lanes
  9. I'm stuck on making a decision for a new build. The build will be used not only for gaming, but also for professional video production. Inputting up-to 4 live camera inputs, video file inputs and images, Mixing them, adding overlays and what not and recording them and outputting to Displays and Projectors. Im assuming its going to be very graphics intensive (never done it on a PC, only on dedicated vision mixers. The system is currently set out as follows: Cpu: i7 4790k Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mark1 Ram: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2133MHz 16GB (2x8) Cpu: Corsair Cooler: H100i Drives: 3TB WD Red x2, Samsung 840 EVO 250GB PSU: Corsair RM 850w 3 undetermined monitors with a 4th output when using for work, All 1080 @ 60 I'm stuck on the decision of what GPU to get, my choices are: 2x GTX 970 EVGA Titan Black Super-clocked 6GB (Only titan available, thanks Australia) XFX R9 295x2 8GB (Only 295x2 available, thanks Australia) These solutions come to around $1000 to $1200, Thats why ive decided as 970's as a possible solution, im just wanting the community's input.
  10. My favorite item would probably be the power supply with those red accents on it. Definitely a PSU to show off.
  11. I found LinusTechTips while looking for hardware guides & reviews on Youtube and loved the content that much that i stayed. My favorite style of video would have to be, Well. Its too hard to choose a favorite. Keep up the great work guys.
  12. Okay, while researching i've discovered that i can save $50 by going a Gigabyte Windforce 290 over a Sapphire Tri-x 290. Is the Windforce cooler as good as its said to be?
  13. The Case-labs & Mountain mods cases look great, except for the wheels. Id probably snap them in the first few shows. rolling it off trailers & into other cases and shit like that would put alot of strain on them, and thats why i thought about building it in a flight case, as i can trust that the flight case can withstand what will be thrown at it. I can probably pull apart a case-labs case and stuff it into a flight case.
  14. So, i'm looking at building a rig for and need help choosing the right case. The computer will a fairly high spec machine, will be used in entertainment centers to push content in a mixing desk (up-to 4K) as-well as recording that mix (still, up-to 4k). I'm looking for a case that's tough and very good with cooling. Also with wheels. OR a very spacious case that can have panels removed and stuffed in a trunk style flight case. flight cases-> http://www.flightcases.com/road-trunks.html?limit=all
