  1. Let em, he did specifically state in the video "Anyone who does this anymore can be shadow banned by the community team, and they've been encouraged to do so." So, it may happen, but very quickly will stop happening, cuz they can't message or comment anymore.
  2. then you've got a serious setup issue if cinebench bluescreened. You may want to remove the CPU and reinstall it.
  3. at least a couple SATA cables will be included with the motherboard. Power cables are part of the PSU. Yes, if you don't turn on XMP it'll default to CPU Stock speeds (2666)
  4. you did what now?! If you've stripped screws: 1) you're using WAY too much torque. 2) are you sure it's properly seated anymore?
  5. Yes, you can easily run 3200, 3600 or faster memory on that CPU. as for the HDDs, my opinion hasn't changed: 1TB HDDs are a terrible purchase no matter how you cut it. (The ones in your PCPP link are *more* expensive than 1TB SATA SSDs.)
  6. okay, then step 1: Install: HWInfo64, Cinebench R24 Launch HWInfo64 and find the CPU Temps Then run Cinebench for 10-30 minutes, and see if your cinebench scores line up with other 14900k's And see what yuor CPU Temps are like while running cinebench
  7. QSV = Quicksync, which is an Encoder chip on the iGPU of intel CPUs. Everything is working as intended.
  8. uhhh JBOD doesn't do parity, unless you're running something really weird with it. Anyways: assuming a 24gb 90 minute movie: That's 267 MB/Minute you're pulling off the NAS. 1gbit networking can move 6,000 MB/Minute. So, no, you're not going to saturate your ethernet with movie watching. If you're just playing the video on a PC, and not transcoding on the NAS, there should be very little CPU Load from streaming the file to your PC/MAC. I'd check to see if all your drives in the NAS are healthy first.
  9. you do a lot of not explaining the problem or setup. Also blurry camera is blurry as fuck. Do you need a HDMI Switch to change inputs? a Hub takes 1 signal and splits it to multiple displays. HDMI Hubs don't change what you're looking at to different targets.
  10. Yes I have a lot of opinions here. your RAM Choice is horrible. You can get 32GB DDR4 RAM for way less than that. You can get faster ram for 55$ for 32GB. 1TB HDDs are stupid, and those are a TERRIBLE price. do not waste your money on that. Honestly for anything under 4TB, getting HDDs is kinda dumb? But if you really want HDDs? you can get a 3TB IronWolf NAS Drive for 100$ and run 2x in raid1 for /actually/ 3TB. (3x 1tb drives will be 2TB of space with RAID.) If you want to run a RAID: I'd suggest getting at least 4TB Drives. (If you wait for a good sale, you can find 8TB Drives in the 100-125$ Range at times.)
  11. it will cool the cpu fine, just not on unlimited power budget. At 150 or 250w presets, it'll be okay.
  12. Why are you upgrading the CPU? What is it not doing for you?
  13. how many transcode streams do you plan to run at once? and will it have a gpu?
  14. it should be PCIe 3 if it's the one for the case:
  15. That would be surprising... PCIE Gen 2 went out of style with 4th/5th gen cpu's?
  16. I just use these tiny PCs today: They're not much bigger than a paperback book, and since intel 7th gen iGPUs and newer output proper 4K (and no video decoding needs more power than this has on the iGPU) slap on a wireless keyboard/touchpad combo, and it's done.
  17. on DDR5 it's a waste of effort. On DDR4, you can upgrade from 2 to 4 sticks for more capacity, but if you're buying RAM Fresh, just buy 2 bigger sticks.
  18. also different devices (sometimes even in the same brand) use different LEDs, so the color will be different.
  19. If you go for a low enough power system, you could probably passively cool the whole box and avoid sucking in any dust / metal at all. But it won't be easy. How much CPU Horsepower do you need to drive the CNC? Or, what about a fiberoptic cable, and putting the PC in the next room, safe from the metalshop chaos?
  20. for unique? This is one of the most unique: https://www.marsgaming.eu/en/cases/mcorb-premium-gaming-circular-tower_mcorb (That being said the Y70 Touch / non touch are great cases)
  21. Only if it's a quad channel platform, which no consumer CPUs are. They're Dual Channel. 2 Sticks is what you want for best performance. 1 stick is worse than anything else.
