  1. Hey, so I know the 3080 drops in about a week from now, and everyone is wanting to buy anything that has a number 3 in it, but I am wondering if I should buy either of these graphics cards right now and save myself the disappointment later. The two cards are a 2070 and a 2060 super, both from gigabyte and both are about 650 aud. https://www.austin.net.au/gigabyte-gv-n2070wf2-8gd-graphics-card-geforce-rtx-2070-8-gb-gddr6.html (2070 card) https://www.austin.net.au/gigabyte-geforce-rtx-2060-super-windforce-oc-8g.html (2060s card) I'm only going to be gaming at 1080p with an r5 3600, but I will be using ray tracing for games like cyberpunk and minecraft if i can. Which one should i buy? Or should I just hold out for the 3070 even though its far more pricey and kind of overdoing it? P.S. I dont know if this should go in building or graphics cards so i posted it here bc its more of a purchase question
  2. Budget (including currency): $2000 aud Country: Australia Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Competitive/Single player Modern games, Modded Skyrim, Streaming with friends, Uni work and some simulation, Multi-tasking Other details So as the title states, this will be the first ever pc i have owned, let alone built. I currently use a 2014 macbook pro, which has been a good machine and is only really showing its age/incompatibilities this year. The purpose of this pc is to simply be able to do everything i currently do now+ some things like high quality gaming, for the next 5+ years at least with this machine, hopefully longer. I have went through this list at least 5 or 6 times and changed a lot of parts, finally landing on this list. I am happy to spend more on extras such as storage and a better keyboard down the road, however i dont want to pay more than 2100 or 5% over budget right now. I am currently saving up to hopefully purchase the parts and by late November/December time, and have it up and running by around New Year. If you could please have a look at my parts list and tell me if there is anything better value/price for this list, the only parts I am really set on are the CPU and GPU combo, the rest i am happy to improve upon.
