  1. AH there it is, i somehow haven't noticed this running for the 3 years ive had this setup. probably because its not "really" a problem lmfao. Removed the service software and kept the drivers Ethernet speed now matches wifi with 2ms better latency. thanks!!! i would have never thought to look for it because its not in my startup programs, doesn't pop up every and not in my system tray. I literally had to go through and search for the program itself its extremely well hidden.
  2. pc is built by myself bios is up to daye. All cables have been swapped for new and verified. Ive not tried connecting directly to the ATT router mainly because my WiFi speeds are as expected though thatll probably be my next step since it "could" be the ports itself on the router it is starting to be old at this point
  3. ah yea sorry missed that one, i exclusively use logitech lightspeed mice and dont percieve a difference between wired/wireless lol Yes i have swapped the cable to a brand new cat 6 cable with no change, drivers and bios are up to date including on both the router and ISP hardware
  4. not sure if its a typo but im talking router not mouse. My wifi is faster than the ethernet cable which youre right doesnt make sense im trying to find out why
  5. goes from my computer straight to the nighthawk router
  6. Ive got an odd problem that's not "really" a problem. I use ATT 1000 fiber internet the hardware they gave me is a BGW320-505 and i run it in pass-through mode to a nighthawk RAX48 using a CAT6 ethernet cable. When running a speed test just on the ATT hardware via their app i get exactly the speeds i expect of 900-1000mbps with a latency of around 10ms. However when i run a speed test on the same website (which for reference I'm using the cloudflare speed test) on my pc using an ethernet cable, which is also CAT6, i only get speeds around 500mbps. But when i take that same pc and use wifi i get around 800-900mbps. I know not really a problem but its bugged me for months and i cannot figure out what is going on. For reference my PC hardware is as follows MOBO: ASRock B650e PG Riptide WiFi CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D RAM: Corsair Vengeance 64gb DDR5 6000Mhz GPU: EVGA 3080 TI 12gb Any ideas on things to try would be appreciated, i think the main problem is i know just enough to be dangerous but not enough to actually know what I'm doing lol.
  7. That didnt seem to fix it either
  8. Im running pbo through the prrformance preset
  9. Yea ive got that turned on had it turned on since i built it thats why im so confused why it still does it almost every reboot lol
  10. So ive recently rebuilt my PC and it seems that with EXPO enabled it does memory training on every reboot, sometimes even after i wake the PC from sleep. I was looking around and there doesnt seem to be anyway to prevent this from happening aside from never turning the PC off. Was wondering if any of yall have any ideas on how to prevent this. Motherboard: ASRock B650E PG riptide CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D Ram:Corsair Vengence 2x32gb CMK64GX5M2B6000C40 GPU: EVGA 3080 TI FTW3
  11. the latency on the ram isnt as important? if thats the case i could save more money if i went with a cl40 kit instead of the cl30 you think i wouldnt notice a difference in day to day use?
  12. its a 7900x3d not the normal 7900x so the real only difference is 4 more cores and a little bit more cache i believe
  13. The recent LTT video showed the deal with the 7900x3d and a free kit of ram. I have currently already bought a 7800x3d and plan to pair it with a kit of XPG lancer 64gb 6000MHZ CL30 on an asus tuf B650. The new egg deal has the 7900x3d with a kit of Gskill flare X5 32GB of 6000MHZ CL36 and then i would bundle it with the asrock B650E riptide. The new egg route would save roughly $100 but would have half the memory and a higher latency. Would i really notice the difference though? Would i really notice the extra 4 cores as well? I basically only game mostly destiny 2 new world and newer triple A games. Im conflicted with the decision though because i can just return the cpu i bought already and go with the deal on new egg pretty easy since i dont need it immediately what do yall think?.
  14. Im not sure whats going on here but my samsung galaxy s20 is not receiving text notifications even though i am receiving the texts themselves. Ive gone through the notification settings at least a dozen times and all of them are turned on even foreground sync which i don't think actually matters. Any ideas what may be going on? im running android version 12.
  15. I seemed to have fixed it by resetting all settings to default in control panel not really sure what was changed since nothing was changed there in tje 1st place
  16. So i was playing around on my fiances computer and found out her brand new monitor is only going up to 60hz instead of the 165hz it should be able to do. Upon further experimentation i discovered itll go up to 144hz on hdmi but no matter what DP cables i use it will only do 60hz including the known good cable i have for my rig which pushes 2k 165hz just fine. I also discovered that when using display port it is reporting a reccomended resolution of 3840x2160 even though the monitor is only 2560x1440. im using this along with an EVGA 3080 FTW3. Any ideas why i cant get it to go all the way up to 165hz? and why i cant get it to go above 60hz on displayport?
  17. Actually it would appear i found the solution but i dont know if theres a way to delete posts so instead ill share my solution! Turns out with this update wavelink added an additional input that can only be seen in programs like voicemod or discord etc, this input is called wavelink microphone FX which is apparently just the normal mic input with all of the VST applied. you can use this source in voicemod and it will apply all of the VST before the soundboard/effects that voicemod does.
  18. So wavelink recently added the ability to use VST with their software. I use wavelink along with voicemod and was wondering if there was a way to get my VST to apply before voicemod grabs my mic. Currently what appears to be happening is no matter how i route my audio voicemod is getting my raw microphone without any of the VST applied. I know i can re route voicemod as an input to wavelink and run the VST through that but it tends to mess up my soundboard and overall sounds worse then just not using any of it at all. any ideas?
  19. ya board is fine its an asus tuf board ive never managed to kill one and with the new power supply im not getting the clicking issue probably just some underlying issue which wouldnt surprise me as the power supply is very old well past its warranty date
  20. so an update on the stuff visual check was fine pictures are attached if you're curious. Voltages were also fine on all pins but when shorting the pins to turn on the PSU it still clicks 7 or so times before actually spinning up
  21. ill keep that in mind for tomorrow as far as i can tell the psu is "trying" to power on but isnt? i can hear a relay clicking but nothing actually powers up it clicks several times before anything powers up and actually starts turning on
  22. i can do that later but im going to wait for the new power supply to arrive tomorrow just incase something happens. What would you recommend checking with the voltmeter?
  23. no i havent last update would have been a month ago i believe for windows and bios was updated by the store before i installed anything about a year ago now
  24. Well whats odd is nothing is turning on like nothing nothing it just sits there for a while then randomly boots up its never done this for the past year or so this is a new thing
