  1. did it. the motherboard has no cmos jumper that i am aware of so i just took the battery out for a couple minutes. i don’t have any integrated graphics and that did not work either.
  2. I don’t even get a display. I can hear the system obviously booting, and if i leave it on, the parts get to a toasty temp, so i know there’s stuff happening, i just can’t see anything. but i have tried that. in fact, i have tried almost everything i could do on this list: https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/no-post-system-wont-boot-and-no-video-output-troubleshooting-checklist.1575220/
  3. I was planning on installing the new UPDATED drivers when it opened, but no running after that. Also, i tried many different cables, TVs, and monitors
  4. So, this is a long story. basically, i started off by uninstalling my gpu drivers. i had like 15 different engines and i just wanted the Radeon one for my Rx580. i was going to just run without drivers for a while, no harm right? so it says to restart pc to finish. it turns off. but now, it turns on, and the monitor says no signal. Now, before you ask, I have tried- Reseating the RAM Reseating the CPU Different GPU Different Motherboard Different Boot Device Nothing. I watched a lot of videos and the overall consensus was that my RAM was dead, or incompatible with my MOBO. so i went to best buy and got a brand new set of Corsair 16gb 3600 Speed ram, an upgrade to the samsung 16gb 2666 ram i had. i am fine with paying for the new ram, but it did not solve my problem. Does anyone have any possible clue?? CPU- Ryzen 7 1700 GPU- Gigabyte RX580 8G Gaming (backup gpu- MSI Gt710) Ram- noted above. SSD- Samsung 970 Evo 1TB Mobo-ASUS TUF B450-Plus Gaming (Test mobo-HP8399)
  5. i see your point, not worried on power it uses motherboard power anyways no psu cables
  6. arriving soon is an Asus TUF motherboard for my Ryzen 7 1700 clocked to 3.6 ghz rig. the board i had previously was m-atx and the new one will be full atx, yes, it will fit in my case. The question is, i have a program called salad that i used to run on old computers sitting around and it would get around 1$ per week just sitting around, not much, but i have an extra rx550 and it says it could make around 10. My main card is an rx580 8g from gigabyte, and i wanna populate my soon to be extra 16x slot with my rx550 so i could potentially game on the rx580 which i have been and is spectacular, and mine on the rx550. i am mainly asking because one time i heard it splits it into dual 4x slots, which would limit my gaming abilities. i do not have a second monitor, i just want to be able to mine on it.
  7. the title explains it all, i really want a full atx motherboard, better then buying another m-atx, imma current motherboard has a lack of usb ports and one of them has shorted out so i would like an upgrade from that if possible
  8. if you can see it looks as if the fan takes 12v in and has a ground wire and the rgb is using four pin, any modding options?
  9. I bought some fans off of someone, and they were 3 Uphere fans. I didn’t realize till i received them that there was a 6-pin fan connector? i see a few options for controllers that have 6-pin connections, but i also need a 4-pin for my rgb strip. Does anyone know of any good controllers with these options?
  10. My current case has 0 airflow for the GPU, excluding the air coming out of the power supply. the only intake on my current case is for the cpu and its just a hole in the side of the case so the cpu cooler can breathe, then the cpu exhaust is put out the back, this system sucks. I like the darkflash for what it offers, a chimney exhaust solution. I will be buying an AIO for my cpu so i can have those nicer temps, i game and render on my ryzen 7 1700 clocked to 3.6 Ghz. It does very well in my current case, but the temps go up to 80-90c from what i see here my best bet is the darkflash. I have a small upgrade budget and this is a good option for now, i can upgrade later when my setup moves.
  11. just seems strange to me to flip it upside down, if i wanted the window on the other side, going up side down wouldnt help and id have the rear io all in my face lol
  12. Yes like 80%. i am currently looking for a motherboard and a case in other sections of the forum where i can upgrade my ram, and upgrade my case so i can get some rgb in there. Definitely gonna buy a backplate for my gpu.
  13. I totally see your point. My setup is fairly tight, i cant put it on the floor ofc, and if i put it on the right side of my desk, there's nothing stopping it from falling over, and i dont want a giant box sticking out in the middle of the room (pc goes in corner)
  14. I have posted this one time before, but i have a few updates. In december, as a christmas present i recieved a Hp Power Pavillion PC. It was pretty decent considering it had an rx550 in it for only $430 new. I started watching LTT tips and many more and started to realize what i had wasnt all that great. Long story short i now have an Rx580, Ryzen 7 1700, a 1tb samsung 970 evo ssd, and soon upgrading to a new case and motherboard, and by the end i wouldve only spent a total of around 800. Think my money is worth? or should have just built from the beginning? im curious to know your thoughts. Runs GTA 5 full settings at 80 fps Benchmark: https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/33281808
