  1. That was what the various benchmarks shown. The performance is like identical or the Scythe performs marginally better in some situations but the Noctua is like 30 euros more expensive.
  2. Currently I am building a new build for programming purposes. The components I have selected so far are as follows: Fractal Design ION+ 560W Platinum PSU AMD Ryzen 7 3700X (BOX) Boxed MSI B550-A PRO Fractal Design Define 7 Black Midi Tower Samsung 970 EVO 500GB M.2 SSD Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G36C16U4B Fractal Design ION+ 560W Platinum PSU Initially I had chosen the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 but after reading some benchmarks comparing different types of CPU coolers it does seem like overkill (if it is not the case and the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 would be a viably option please let me now). So after not going for the Noctua NH-D15 SE-AM4 at the moment I came across two types of Scythe CPU coolers that look very similar, both in price and performance. The only notable difference I could find is that the ninja variant is bigger in format. But is that the only difference? Benchmarks show their is not a difference between the two types of coolers. So if you had to choose one of the Scythe coolers, which one would you choose? And is it viable to maybe not go for a scythe but go with the aforementioned Noctua.
