    Have you considered the XPS 15 with the 1650 ti? It seems like your main goal is studying/programming but you've been buying computers meant for gamming.

    The Dell XPS 15 has a really good keyboard and hands down the best trackpad I've ever used, this is a little above your price range but well worth the money IMO.

    So here goes nothing, have a look at my entry. This was the most awkward thing I have every done, but it was fun to make and that's mainly all that matters lol.
