You could also have a look at the Omen 15 2021 version which has a 3060 and Ryzen 5 5600H, it may not be the best of the best but apparently it has good battery life. Might just do the trick for you and save you a couple bucks. -

I see your guyses point. I have looked at the XPS's and some of the reasons, I have unable to buy one is because of the price and when i add protection plan it increases to about 2300 with taxes (1st) and also because of its lack of usb A ports and hdmi port. I really dont want to carry around a dongle for everything, it seems like a pain. But I will keep a lookout for it, in case there ever is a deal of some sort. Any other suggestions? -
Hey everyone, So my laptop journey has not been great. I recently bought a Mag 15 from Canada Computers and the camera broke down within a week so I had to return it. Then I got this awesome deal on amazon for the Max 17 for 1500, I ordered and got that and while the performance is great, the keyboard is on the mushier side, and the touchpad is also not as smooth as the Mag 15 for instance. And worst of all, the camera positioning. Its just awful, I would never want anyone to talk to me on a zoom meeting, with having their camera showing off their fingers and nose. So I am planning on returning the Max 17 and getting a new laptop. So now I need your guyses help in finding a laptop. Budget: 1800 CAD Use Case: Will be using the laptop for University for Computer Science, so lots of programming and general browsing, something that can handle lots of chrome tabs. And also light gaming, i won't be gaming everyday but when I do, I don't want frame drops every 2 seconds. Other preferences: I will be carrying it to and from University so something that is light and portable would be awesome. And if it windows hello, that would be awesome too. I am currently looking at the Omen 15 at BestBuy, so if you guys have any thoughts on that laptop please let me know. Thanks for reading and helping me out!

I believe its easier for people in BC since they aren't competing with as many people, but its still fairly hard since there are really good videos made in BC
