I believe so since xfinity and media com said there services could not reach us, we did not attempt any other providers since CenturyLink said they were able to get us internet. we looked into the T-Mobile 5g as a sort of replacement since we also have T-Mobile as a mobile carrier but they said it was unavailable in our area

I will get back to you on the speeds being paid for since my roommate is the one who set it up but on wired devices I get about 1MB upload and 17MB download

About 2-3 weeks ago I checked to see how fast it would be with an ethernet cable instead of using wireless and I was able to achieve speeds around 1 MB upload and 17MB download. This was directly from my router to the ethernet port on the back of my pc

My internet provider is CenturyLink, currently my Wi-Fi runs at about .5 MB upload and about 4 MB download. When asking if we could upgrade our internet in someway they said new “line” would need to be put in and it would cost around 5k to do so. I don’t know anything about how Wi-Fi connection and things like that work. Can someone tell me if there is another way to increase my internet speeds? Or am I kinda screwed

I looked around online and some websites say it does support the ryzen 5000 series and some say it doesnt, will it hurt any parts if I just plug it in and try?

Building a new PC soon and I was kind of oblivious when buying parts, I bought a Ryzen 5 5600x and for my motherboard I bought a MSI B450 Tomahawk Max ll. It says online that this motherboard supports the CPU but it will need a BIOS update, does this mean I cant boot the system without the BIOS update? Is there another way for me to update the BIOS if it cant boot? CPU in question Motherboard in question

I am building a new PC in the next couple weeks and I am wondering if I would be able to just put my hard drives and such from my current PC into my new one and boot it(use the windows 10 installed on one of the hard drives). If any problems that could possibly arise from this please let me know or any recommendations on what I should do other wise

Nothing happens, the display port screen on my monitor acts as if its not connected

I have an msi radeon rx 560 with an hdmi and display port, I am trying to dual monitor using the hdmi and display port but my display port wont get detected and connect even though when I look in device manager I can see both of the monitors. I had them both connected and on earlier but they were glitched out where I could not do anything on either except look at my background, now the display port wont connect. I have tried updating all my drivers and they are all updated
