Based off of the background that is being displayed currently, my pc will change brightness and contrast. For instance when I go from google with a white background to my desktop wallpaper with a lot of colors, the brightness and contrast will shoot up. Its even more noticeable in games where there are a lot of different colors and so the contrast and brightness keep changing as I walk around different maps with different colors occupying my screen.
I tried to go to power settings and change adaptive brightness, but it was not an available option. I also changed my power options from balanced to high performance, but the problem was not fixed.
I just got a new pc and went from a VGA cable to a DisplayPort cable due to my new AMD graphics card not having a VGA connector.
I still have the same monitor, so I don't know if that would be the issue.
I have also done my best to insure that all of my drivers are up to date.
I also saw that AMD had a vari-bright option, but did not see that listed in my Radeon software.
I am on a desktop: AMD Ryzen 9 3900X, 16 GB of ram, and an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT. I am also on Windows 10 64 bit.
Thank you for any help in advance!
