  1. Hello! Recently I upgraded from an RX 570 4GB to an RX 6600 CHALLENGER D 8GB and I've had more issues than expected. Seemingly out of nowhere, the graphics drivers seem to just... crash. This is most notable in Watchdogs Legion, which is a game I've been playing a lot recently. I've looked at Windows event viewer and... nada. I can't find a single error or warning at the time of the crash. Discord also seems to close itself. Alongside this, the search bar within Opera just goes all black, but I can still search and whatnot. I'm unsure if this matters or not but I also recently bought a new PSU to go with the RX 6600, being a CORSAIR 600w. I have no idea how to even remotely fix this, and it's getting extremely annoying having to restart my whole device multiple times a day due to this... any files or logs that I can provide to try and help with this, please ask. Thank you in advance! PC SPECIFICATIONS OS: Windows 10 Pro x64 CPU: Intel i5 9400F RAM: 16GB DDR4 MOBO: H310CM-DVS GPU: RX 6600 CHALLENGER D 8GB SSD: CRUCIAL 120GB SSD (boot drive)
  2. only spec we know is an i5-4460, not sure about the others... they decided to get outside help from a family member and partitioned their drive... I have/had no involvement in it and have no idea what they did. now they're unable to even get to that blue option screen, and only getting the following error...
  3. Hey! posting this for a friend since I'm frankly out of ideas Earlier this morning, they turned their computer on, like usual. Everything was fine, they then had to leave for a few hours and returned to the computer, and it was on sleep, the keyboard was acting strange and wasn't really working, but after a while, it worked and they were able to log in but after watching some videos, the keyboard wasn't working. It made a clicking sound as if it was the mouse when used, and so they restarted. They are now locked out of windows... kinda. When booting the computer, they're taken to a screen which mentions windows doing an automatic fix or something, but every time, comes up saying it couldn't find an issue. After this, they're taken to a blue screen and has options such as "continue", "use a device", "look for a problem", etc. None of the windows autofixing features are coming up with anything. I've tried looking at the BIOS and see if anything changed within the boot settings but it all seems normal... and I'm completely out of ideas. They can't access windows at all, just when pressing continue, they're taken back to the "autofixing" screen and then back to the blue option menu. Please... if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Hello! My headphone mic stopped working about a week or 2 ago, so I have had to resort to the app known as WoMic, and never had issues with it for weeks, until a few days ago... Every day I always bluescreen with the error in the title. What failed is womic.sys Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Or maybe another app that allows you to use your phone as a microphone? Thanks!
  5. Hey, so about a few days ago, all of my MP4, webm, png, jpg etc files just aren't showing the thumbnail. I have my view set to large, but no option changes it... I've tried deleting iconcache and restarting, no change... Also tried adding a max cached icons to regedit, still nothing. .exe thumbnails still show though, and nothing shows up on the folder icon that usually indicates there's items inside of it. If anyone knows anything about this, please help! and thank you!
  6. Alright, thanks for the reply! I'll get him to do what you said, and hopefully that will help.
  7. I believe basic GTA V works well, but he mainly plays FiveM.
  8. Heya! This is for a friend, so the specs that're on my profile aren't what I'm talking about here. So, a friend has a GTX 760, but currently has an i5 4460, and to my knowledge... that's quite a bad bottleneck? The main game he wishes to run is FiveM, a mod of GTA V, and currently only gets around 5-30 fps on lowest, alongside textures and roads straight up not loading, on 99% of servers. He also wants to get into recording, but like I said, FiveM is practically unplayable, let alone recording it. These are his current specs - OS: Win10 Pro 64bit CPU: i5 4460 RAM: 12GB dual channel DDR3 Motherboard: K30AD_M31AD_M51AD_M32AD (SOCKET 1150) (no idea if this is what its actually called but... ya'll are the experts... this is what speccy says) GPU: GTX 760 2GB if any other specs are relevant, please let me know. Unsure of his budget at this time, but I'd assume somewhere around 300 USD for both. Also, apologies if this is in the wrong area, but I'd assume this is where I'd put this.
  9. Hey, posting this for a friend. Ever since he got windows 10, out of nowhere he bluescreens with the error code in title. Nothing specific causes the bluescreen (that he knows of), and we've tried most things that show up on google to no avail. He's using windows 10 Pro version 10.0.19042, if this matters at all. If any other information is needed, please let me know. Thanks! apologies if this is in the wrong area, didn't know where to post this
  10. So far, nothing has happened... Though I'm assuming its too early to say. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll most likely be back if it happens again, but thanks for now.
  11. It did, going through contacts, scrolling on games, clicking on netflix shows, and calling people on facetime.
