  1. Is that 6ghz support needed for anything in specific? Can I get by with an Orbi 850 instead of a 960?
  2. my gaming pc is the only thing hardwired to the router, but I notice some videos take a while to load while streaming occasionally, or we have bad facetime connections
  3. I've been having some issues with my internet lately, and I assume it might be because I have too many things on my network with not enough channels. Current Network: 1.2gb Down/50mb Up Modem: Netgear Nighthawk CM2000 Router: Netgear Nighthawk R7000 Amount of things on wifi: 34 I've been looking through Netgear, TPlink, Cisco, Asus - there's a plethora of options out there. Then there's the option of Wifi 6 vs Wifi 6e, do I really need 6e vs 6, what's the biggest difference between the two, do I just wait out for wifi 7, are any of my devices actually going to be able to utilize these more advanced networks? Only thing I can find are like "top 10 best" router lists, but am always hesitant to put stock in those.
  4. I just turned it off this morning, so I probably won't know for a few days if I'll see a BSOD again. I might have to come back and try again. I might just RMA the RAM and see if XMP is stable then - if not, I'll have to try a new board.
  5. I'm currently encountering an issue. 13900k, Gigabyte z690 Arous Master, 32g (16x2) 6000mhz 36-36-36-70 Ram (g.Skill Trident Z - and yes, I did check to make sure it was compatible). Gigabyte lists it as compatible - but I'm throwing BSOD's left and right every other day. With XMP on, I'm getting system memory errors, with it off I'm passing memtest86. I'm now wondering if it is the z690 board... I'm wondering if my GPU, RAM, or Motherboard need to be RMA'd. For this month alone, I've had 4 crashes, 3 of which were caused by ntoskrnl.exe. I've read this could be a gpu driver issue so I ran DDU and did a fresh install of the geforce drivers previously, and this issue continues to happen. I ran the system memory tester and that comes back fine. I'm desperate (as I'm sure everyone is). I'm usually the go-to guy for friends and family to fix PC issues, and even at work people reach out to be instead of IT but I'm stumped. 6. Just googling "Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut" will yield a ton of results.
  7. I've been trying to decide on a paste to use on my i9-13900k, and new EVGA CLX 360 AIO for overclocking. Every comparison I find shows Kryonaut either on top, or close to the top - but then I find just as much posts on different websites claiming Kryonaut damaged their components. Is this accurate, is there a documented history of this occurring? Also, people mentioning they had to reapply paste after only a few months due to drying or the paste "literally" turning into "dust" - this all seems like terrible points to a product so widely supported by content creators, and also partly owned by one of the worlds best overclockers. Any insight would be helpful..
  8. I think generally, and even through testing done by LTT - you can achieve the same results on cheap or expensive boards. It comes down to what additions you want on your board.
  9. I've seen builds with these sticks and this specific board - so I imagine its fine?
  10. The z690 Maximus Extreme has BIOS FlashBack, but how do you do that without being able to get into windows?
  11. I already snagged a good deal on 4 sticks of g.skill Trident Neo Z5 6400mhz CL 34, which people have been using on the z690 boards I believe.
  12. I intend on buying the i9-13900ks when they release to replace my 9900k. I wanted to pick up the z790 EVGA Dark Kingpin board for it, but got just an offer for a Z690 Asus Maximus Extreme for under $400 USD never opened by a buddy. What kind of hit would I be taking going the z690 platform over z790? Will it affect gaming performance at all? Thanks!
  13. I'll take a look, and see if I need to add it to my already long list of protentional cases - haha.
  14. I've never been a case user, but now with a little one - I want to make sure my stuff is protected. I'm going to be upgrading from an iPhone X to the 14 Pro Max, and have been stuck between 4 cases specifically. Mous Limitless 5.0 Caudabe Sheath/Synthesis Dbrand Grip Otterbox Lumen Has anyone been hands on with these? I want something super durable, yet thin, and with strong magnets. Thanks!
  15. Does any of that mean one is better than the other?
  16. Whats the difference between 2.1, 5.1, and 7.1?
  17. You know more about it than me, just trying to find the best bang for the buck.
  18. I'm kind of new to the audiophile side of things, is 5.1 good enough - or should I try to reach for the 7.1 my dolby atmos my TV can handle?
  19. I've been searching around for a proper sound set-up for my 65' LG C9. Recently watching the video with Linus and Anthony they mentioned the Sonos Arc and the Samsung Q90R. Rtings also has the Q90R rated as the best sound setup. I'm looking for some recommendations in case this is not the case. I live in Chicago, I'd like to stay under $1k USD.
  20. While people generally hate soundbars, cheaper sound bars for good options for those on a budget. Some people want tech but cannot pay for the experience of the higher end products.
  21. Yeah, I've used that plenty of times - I probably should have been more specific. I love their PC Component recommendations, but i'm talking other technology as well.
  22. LTT has been a big source of my tech information going back years. When I'm in the market to buy new products, I search to see what videos the team has made on the subject to get unbiased information. Recently, i've been searching for a good speaker or sound bar setup for my LG c9 65', and was thinking about Samsung Q90R. I was wondering if LTT could start a recommendation list or a "Tier list" of products easily available on the site? Like which of the products are your favorite, which are the best, which are the budget, etc etc
