    There's a latch that you need to press,try to wiggle it while pulling it reccomend to take of that heatshink if you got gigantic hands.

    There's a low chance that you're damaging the mobo,but if it runs fine then it's ok.

    It will run at 2400mhz at default maybe,it's better to enale DOCP so you can run at 3000Mhz(as it supposed to run at).
