  1. Update: The problem has been solved by clearing the CMOS with a paper clip, I guess I just didn’t do it properly the first time.
  2. It’s still happening, I tried to short the pins to clear the cmos but I’m not sure if it even worked. Any idea what to do next?
  3. Yup, I just forgot to switch the PSU to off before doing so, not sure if it could cause static electricity to remain in the system?
  4. Mobo: MSI B450 Tomahawk Max PSU: Cooler Master MWE550 Gold GPU: MSI 1660 Super Gaming X CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600x So I was trying to install a TP-Link Archer T6E PCIe x1 Wifi Card into my MSI B450 Tomahawk max motherboard and after installing it the computer wouldn’t post. I therefore removed it and it still wouldn’t post. I thought it might’ve been the GPU because the “VGA” debug light flashed for a quick second on the first failed boot, so I removed it completely and it still doesn’t post. Now everytime I try to turn my computer, it doesn’t post, the CPU debug light turns for a few seconds, but nothing else happens. All the fans turn on and spin at normal speed, including the CPU fan, the RGB on my corsair vengeance ram follows the pattern I setup in dragon center, but the light strips controlled via dragon center and the GPU do not. They show the default red (light strips) and rainbow (GPU) that MSI has programmed. Not sure if it’s worth anything to mention that. Normally when my computer boots the strips start off red and once it’s done booting, they become green. Now they’re just stuck at red with no post. I reinstalled the Wifi Card, the GPU and the lights on everything come up, the RAM, the fans, the strips, the case controller, the mobo, even the green light on the Wifi Card itself showing it’s connected and has power. The only issue is that it still doesn’t post. I have refrained from flashing the BIOS by worry of messing something up and voiding all my chances at a return in a case of dead mobo (I only got it a month ago and it has been working perfectly ever since). Last thing to note; when initially unplugging the computer to install the Wifi Card, I forgot to put the switch on the Power Supply in the “O” position before unplugging the cord, however the computer was already shut down. Any help would be meaningful, I am really worried my mobo might be fried but this being my first build; I am quite inexperienced when it comes to troubleshooting.
