  1. My new motherboard came and worked effortlessly. Turns out I did just get a bad motherboard but I just received a refund for it today so it all worked out in the end.
  2. Sorry for not replying sooner, for some reason I didn't get notifications. I have sent back the motherboard and I haven't gotten my money back yet but I should when it gets delivered. I have an MSI board on the way now that should be here tomorrow and I'll let you know if that fixes it.
  3. I tried both headphones and a small speaker in the front panel audio jack but got nothing in either of them. I found a reddit post that seems to imply that ASRock has beep codes disabled by default, but this was for a b450 board Here is that reddit post
  4. And now I have reseated the cpu and it still doesn’t work. At this point I feel like it has to be a manufacturing error or incompatibility but I checked compatibility beforehand and I have no way of knowing what the malfunctioning part might be. Thank you to everyone that tried to help and any more help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated
  5. Update: I’ve now cleared the cmos and I am running it on the motherboard box so there can’t be any shorts with the case. I’m afraid I might have to try to reseat the cpu without thermal paste
  6. Ok, thank you. After I see if it’s a standoff issue I’ll try this
  7. I did actually have some trouble with one of the standoffs so this could be part of the issue. I’ll just take it completely out for testing and let you know how that works
  8. I did try to hold a screwdriver on the pins for 12 ish seconds but I’m not 100% sure if that screwdriver is conducive or if that is the right way to clear the cmos. I will try again after testing the screwdriver to make sure it’s conducive
  9. The psu is semi modular so it should be good on that side and on the mobo side I am sure it is plugged in all the way
  10. I tried to build my first pc with the following parts: Asrock b550 phantom gaming mobo ryzen 5 3600 cpu 2x16gb Oloy 3600 MHz ram asus 2070 super oc gpu thermaltake toughpower 750w psu When I try to power the pc on all the fans spin and the led fans light up but I don’t get a post and the cpu and dram light light up on the motherboard. I have checked all the cables and tried only one stick of ram in all slots and with each stick. I don’t really want to reseat the cpu though because I’m just using the stick cooler for now and don’t have any thermal paste for putting it back in. Is there anything else I could try?
