That makes sense, I really appreciate the input. I feel silly getting wrapped up in the hype for the new line but man I am so excited to finally build a new PC. I currently have an RX480 that sounds like its on its last legs.

Would you recommend that I wait until we learn more about the Zen 3 series? I felt that the CPU I chose was a little overkill for just gaming, but I guess I fell into the trap of more cores the better.

I feel like I might be getting too excited for a part I don't know anything about yet for sure. In your opinion do you think it would be better to wait until the 3080 series is reviewed before even buying the other parts?

Budget (including currency): $3500 USD not including peripherals. Willing to go slightly higher if needed. Country: United States Aim: This build will primarily only be used for gaming. This is my first time spending so much money on a build, and I feel I am a little out of my element with part selection. Even though I have built all my previous PCs it was never with such a wide selection and high budget so I feel like a novice builder in many respects. The primary goal is to build a rig that utilizes the new 3080 series coming out in the next month or so. I know this will eat up a majority of my budget despite not knowing a true price point yet, and I wanted to plan accordingly. As far as time is concerned I would like to order all of my other parts before the release of the new GPUs so by the time I receive it I have everything else already built and cable managed. I would like to avoid using liquid cooling options and instead use a heat sink like the "be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4". I don't really have an interest in RGB, or anything that will put out a huge amount of light or sound. If the part does have RGB its not a big deal, and I really wouldn't mind. But aesthetics are just something I don't care much about. So far I have put together some items but because of the wide selection I can't really tell if I am getting the most out of my choices. Playing games with my friends and family is large part of my life, and for the first time I am able to comfortably afford something this expensive.
