Hi, I am considering upgrading my monitor to samsung 49" CRG9 https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/monitors/gaming/49-crg9-dual-qhd-curved-qled-gaming-monitor-lc49rg90ssnxza I have a MSI GS75 Stealth 95F laptop https://www.msi.com/Laptop/GS75-Stealth-9SX/Specification It seems that in order to Use the full resolution at 120hz I have to use DP, however the laptop doesn't have a DP output, only a HDMI and thunderbolt. It also seems that the Thunderbolt supports DP From the laptop's manual: https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/nb/17G1_v2.0_English.pdf My question is: What would i need to make the screen run at is't max capability? A thunderbolt to DP cable? can I use a docking station? what do i need to know in order to discriminate which one will work? can anyone recommend a good docking station that will meet the requirements? (maybe few options, as I'm stationed outside of the US and not necessarily have access to purchase a particular one) Thank you!
