Would the SSD be to run macOS off of or for file storage?

Wouldn't the 580 one be more powerful?

Don't the fusion drives have SSDs too?

How slow would they be?

They would be too out of my budget

Budget (including currency): £1200 Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom, Light Gaming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have two iMacs available to me both for very similar prices - a 2019 5K iMac with 11 months apple warranty, a hexa core 3.0GHz i5, 8GB RAM, 1TB Fusion Drive and a 570X 4GB - the 2017 5K iMac has a Quad Core 3.8GHz i5, 8GB RAM, 2TB Fusion Drive and a Radeon Pro 580 8GB graphics card but with no box and no warranty. Which should I choose? I'm leaning towards the 2019 one since it has a box so higher resale value in the long run but what are your thoughts?

I have been debating whether to go for a PC or a Mac since I sold my mid 2011 iMac 6 months ago but have decided to stick with Mac as I have the whole ecosystem. I have a Windows laptop - Surface Laptop 2 and so I can have the best of both worlds.

I know gaming on a Mac isn't great anyway, but which would be better out of the two for gaming? I'd assume it would be the 2019 iMac since it has a dedicated graphics card or no?

You won't be able to upgrade the MacBook later - the RAM and Storage are built into the M1 chip and so they are not user-upgradeable unfortunately

The M1 Mac Mini would have a 512GB SSD and the iMac would have a 1TB fusion drive.

I don't mind if Apple stops updating the software but what I really want to know is how long certain programs such as Premiere, Chrome, VS Code etc will be supported on Intel Macs for as I'm planning on buying a used 5K 2017 iMac but if it won't be useable for too long, I shall have to join PCMR.
