  1. Budget (including currency): £1200 Country: United Kingdom Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Video Editing, Light Gaming, Photo Editing, Programming Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Just watched the latest LTT video and saw Linus mention that Intel iMacs will only be supported by developers for 1-2 years after Silicon comes out - do you think this is true? I don't mind if Apple stops updating the software but what I really want to know is how long certain programs such as Premiere, Chrome, VS Code etc will be supported on Intel Macs for as I'm planning on buying a used 5K 2017 iMac but if it won't be useable for too long, I shall have to join PCMR. Thanks (If this is in the wrong section, please let me know and I will happily move it)
  2. Thanks - I'll wait till the review units are sent out to people and see how they perform
  3. Ok thanks - max I'm looking for is 144fps anyways.
  4. I'm wondering if the 2700X will bottleneck the 3070 at all and if putting the two on a B450 Tomahawk Max mobo will hinder performance?
  5. I'm planning on getting a 3070 and am wondering if it will be compatible with B450 Tomahawk Max or will it need a board with newer PCIe slots?
  6. Thank you everyone for the help. My first ever experience on LTT forums and I've gotta say the community is great - fast replies and lots of knowledgeable people. I'm gonna have to start using this more. Regards
  7. I agree that Apple's build quality has slipped especially with the keyboards on the Macbook Pros - the amount of people I see with faults with them astounds me
  8. They come and go but you can usually find deals on websites such as eBay, Gumtree, Cash Converters etc
  9. It depends but usually Quad Core i5, 16GB Ram, Radeon Pro 570X
  10. Yeah I can get a 2017 5K iMac between £800-£1000
  11. While this is true and I know I will be sacrificing performance, if I do choose to get an iMac I won't be buying one brand new but rather second hand.
  12. That's why I like them - they just work. They have a nice display, good IO and for me personally I quite like the design.
